Clean public pool featuring diving boards and slides, plus attentive staff.
The specific operating temperature of Bohn Pool is not typically published. However, as a public recreational facility, the pool water is generally maintained at a comfortable temperature for swimmers, usually ranging from the upper 70s to low 80s Fahrenheit during its operational season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed view of the swimming facility. Many positive comments highlight its cleanliness, updated feel, fun slides, and family-friendly atmosphere, often praising the observant lifeguards and convenient snack bar. However, significant criticisms focus on the strict swim test requirements for children, particularly the 1-minute treading water component, which is perceived as extreme and often prevents capable swimmers from accessing slides or deeper sections of the pool. Another major point of contention is poor communication regarding early closings, leading to frustration and lost value for visitors who pay online and find their swim time drastically cut short, sometimes accompanied by staff rushing patrons out before the stated early closing time.

Just a horrible place. The City should be ashamed. My kids can swim well. The lifeguard didn’t give my kids instructions which they couldn’t have heard over the music anyways. They didn’t know what treading meant and failed the swim tests. My son wasn’t able to hang out with his team. I don’t plan on being back in Adrian again anyways but just in case any families are visiting and planning to make the same mistake I did.
Great place for kids and adults alike. Nice clean pool, with slides, both large and small. Numerous lifeguards on duty. They're very observant of swimmers and keep a close eye on the kiddos. If you're more into the sun there is an abundance of lounge chairs where you can relax and enjoy the rays. We got a family pass this year and is our first experience here. 10 out of 10 for me. Great job guys!
I used to go here as a child (15-20 years ago), and while I know things change over time, we didn't have to do what they require now... today I brought my 6 year old who is able to swim, to have a pool day. Unfortunately, they now require every child to do a swim test (they have to swim to one side of the pool and back, and be able to tread water for 1 minute) before being aloud to go down any slides or in the deep end. Even with adult supervision. Children are only able to test one time, per day. And unfortunately my child was only able to tread water for just over 30 seconds but was able to swim down and back just fine. So, we had to stay in the shallow end.. I fully understand children need to be able to swim and they are just trying to make sure the kids are safe..however I think this is a little extreme, just to be able to go down the slides. (and I know she will get better and be able to tread water longer, at some point, but I just wish there was a better way that allowed more children to go down the slides).. like using a minimum height, or maybe lessen the qualifications.
This is a great place to take the family to swim. The pool feels updated and clean. There are multiple slides that a joy for the kids. They do have tests that the young ones will need to complete if they want to be in the deep side of the pool and use the slide, etc. They still offer a small selection of snacks and food, which is awesome. My one issue is that they definitely made me feel like paying online is the easiest and fastest way to go. However, they have a habit of closing early when the pool doesn't have many visitors. While that isn't the end of the world, it is very frustrating to pay full price online, drive all the way to the pool to realize that your 3ish hours of swimming is really only 1 hour. They had a piece of paper on their door stating the early closing, but no where online. On top of all that, the staff started turning off the music about 20-30 minutes before the actual closing time they stated on the paper on the door. This made my family and I'm sure the other 2 family's feel rushed/unwelcomed. Other than that, it's a great place to take the family on hot days! I just highly recommend you pay on site vs online as you really lose your value due to lack of communication.
Great place to cool off in summertime. Clean pool and facilities. Enjoyed the convenience of the snack bar. "Hungry Howie Pizza!" Fun slides and overall fun time with the family.
