It's considered a safe and fun place for families, particularly for children to learn to swim, with many noting the fantastic, encouraging swim instructors (often high school swim team members). Clean locker rooms is nice compared to some other pools, to get in its pretty damn cheap too.
Feel lucky to have a community pool. This is where my kids learn to swim. A safe fun place for families.
The swim instructors are students on the high school's swim team and most of them are fantastic. My son, who took swim lessons there every summer for years (even though we have lived out of state for the past 9 years), has always really enjoyed his lessons and instructors; each summer they encouraged him to join a swim team or swim club because he learned to swim like a fish! His favorite instructor was a swim team member named Oly, who taught him for several summers and was very, very good with him. Alas, Oly graduated a while back and moved on. Anyway, we love it there. Especially on nights when they lower the giant rope down so the kids can swing over the water and drop in! Admission price is only a couple dollars most nights; sometimes less. One warning: it does get VERY steamy warm in the pool area, so keep that in mind, especially if you plan to sit there as an observer. 👍
I found info for my roommate.
The pool was great. But three months ago they had booths of all kids there. They do it once a year. The booth I was representing was tops. Weight loss program
