Spacious fitness center, offering classes, a pool and equipment to members.
The YMCA features two distinct pools: the Competition Pool is typically maintained at approximately 79-80 degrees Fahrenheit, while the Program Pool, designed for warmer activities, is kept at a comfortable 88-90 degrees Fahrenheit.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This fitness facility receives mixed reviews, highlighting both strong positives and significant negatives. Many patrons praise the wide variety of classes, programs for kids and gymnastics, and the amenities, especially the saunas, steam rooms, and a good pool suitable for lap swimming. The staff is generally described as friendly, welcoming, and helpful, with specific individuals commended for their positive attitudes and encouragement. Income-based memberships are also a well-regarded benefit to the community, and recent improvements to the WiFi have been noted positively. However, major criticisms include the high cost for members not qualifying for low-income or 'Silver Sneakers' programs, the deteriorating condition of the older building sections with issues like rotten wood, poor locker rooms, and broken facilities. Some users also mention limited workout equipment variety, cramped parking, and negative experiences with certain front desk staff and general maintenance responsiveness.

I love it here. Many different classes and various equipment to match any fitness level. The whole staff is welcoming. Shout out to Rayna (sp) (long blonde hair)for always encouraging and inspiring everyone she trains. Very positive attitude.
Good: They offer many programs for kids. They have the only saunas I am aware of in the area. Income based memberships benefit the community by giving poorer families a place to go. There is a very chlorinated pool and a hot tub. They have gymnastics facilities/programs. The staff are friendly. Bad: Wildly overpriced if you are not one of those low income families or qualify for "silver sneakers". The older half of the building seems to be falling apart, rotten wood, middle school quality locker rooms, broken showers and lots of broken/missing tile. Parking gets cramped at times. Not a large variety of workout equipment. If you are old or poor its good. Others will get better value at Planet Fitness.
The pool is great especially for lap swimming. I love the steam room and sauna. The gym equipment is new and not too crowded. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Place is turning into a dump!!! Front female staff is horrible, Hawthorne is the only good thing about this place. Maintenance don't work, except for Colin, he's excellent.
Love the gyms, love the programs, love the facilities, love the saunas and steam rooms. Edited to change to 5 stars as my only issue in the past was the abysmal wifi which has been updated/overhauled recently.
