What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility consistently receives high praise for its physical therapy services, with multiple reviewers commending the excellent, professional, and knowledgeable therapists for achieving impressive recovery results. Staff, in general, are often described as friendly and helpful. However, there are significant and recurring complaints regarding the cleanliness of restrooms, locker rooms, and aquatic facilities, which are frequently described as 'gross' or 'filthy,' with issues like broken soap dispensers. The aquatic area also draws criticism for being noisy, having tepid water in the therapy pool, and the notable absence of a lifeguard. Other concerns include an unattended front entrance, distracted front-desk staff, a tiny women's locker room, and minor technical issues with fitness equipment TVs, including the removal of certain channels leading to patron disputes.

I have received physical therapy in this facility and it was excellent. The staff are friendly, caring, professional and know their stuff. I also use the fitness center. I would rate it a 3. The womens' locker room is tiny. They have a large number and variety of machines. I use the eliptical. For several weeks, several of them no longer have the option to choose a program. The TVs have lacked close captioning for several weeks. Also, it is difficult to change channels using their remotes. Finally, they removed CNN, but kept FOX. I was shouted at by a patron once, because I was watching CNN. I arrived first, so he was totally inappropriate on many levels. So maybe the management is simply trying to keep the peace for the majority of their patrons.
Very friendly place. Recently had a loved one in recovery from a hip replacement and the therapy they provided worked wonders for their recovery process. To have a hip replacement and be walking with very little assistance from a cane after two weeks is amazing, much of that range of motion and movement came from the therapy. Although none of it would be possible without the steady hand of her orthopedic surgeon.
My husband had shoulder surgery and I had knee surgery. The therapists were excellent & knowledgeable (Donna & Brooke, respectively). The gym is clean and very well maintained. We would definitely recommend!
I visited this site to swim while in this area. I am a member of the Boaz location. This review is mostly to compliment the cleanliness and design of the Boaz aquatic facility. Compared to Boaz, Guntersville was a huge let down. The bathroom was gross! The pool has a low ceiling and therefore was noisy. The therapy pool was a great size but the water was tepid. The staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly. If you just want to work out, that area appeared to be a great facility. If you have the time to go to Boaz, I highly suggest that location over this one for aquatics. That site even has a sauna in the bathroom, which has multiple stalls and is consistently clean. They really set a high bar for my expectations. I am a camper and this bathroom ranked low compared to a low end campground.
First visit to center....No one at front entrance to greet you.... I needed to use the restroom, so upon entering restroom/locker area, first thing that hits you is that it obviously needed some serious cleaning .... showers, sinks, lockers, etc.... also, soap dispensers didn't work ... Large sign at pool entrance stated NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY... not exactly what I wanted to read .... Manged to find the gym after looking down hallways with empty offices at 3 PM. ... Stood at counter politely waiting for the young lady to finish her texting ... After five or so minutes I elected to just wander around by myself since the gym is small ... Assessed the pool for lap swimming and viewed various exercise equipment.... young lady was still texting when I went by the counter, so I left .... I was expecting a hospital run wellness center to be clean and also, provide lifeguard since numerous older people attended, but I was assuming too much.... Can't deal with the filth, so on to the next gym.
