What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews paint a mixed but largely negative picture of the resort. While several guests highly praise the staff, describing them as amazing, kind, helpful, attentive, and patient, especially at the waterpark and concessions, other aspects are severely criticized. Positive experiences include enjoying the indoor water park, playground, buffet breakfast, and a general sense of a fun, nostalgic family getaway. However, significant concerns are raised regarding cleanliness and maintenance across the property. Guests reported dirty conditions such as sand in the pool, trash in unused areas, grim on bathroom floors, Cheetos in rooms, and even human waste in/around restrooms that staff reportedly failed to address. Issues with cold water and air temperature in the waterpark, non-functional AC in hotel rooms, and suspected unclean bedding are recurring complaints. Customer service is frequently cited as poor, with dismissive front desk interactions and a complete lack of response to emails and calls to management. Some reviewers felt the resort was overpriced given its condition and additional charges, noting overcrowding, long waits for attractions, delayed openings, and unstaffed concession stands. One guest also reported illness following their stay, attributing it to hygiene issues.

We came on a Saturday and knew it would be busy, and even with it being busy the staff was amazing. The staff at the concessions stand were so kind, helpful and friendly. The staff at the waterpark were kind and attentive to all the guest. We had a 5 year old girl that was so nervous on the big slides and the lifeguards were so patient and kind. Excellent staff, excellent area and excellent vibes. The reviews should be way higher!!!
My daughter and I did a mini getaway to the resort. It was fun. We went swimming in their indoor water park, took a walk around the resort at night and played on their playground which was located at the back. In the morning we also ate some breakfast in their restaurant. It was a buffet and the view made it better. Definitely coming back. I was brought here as a child, so it was bittersweet bringing my own daughter here as well!
For the price they charge, plus additional payment for water park wrist bands, this place isn’t worth it. Water is cold, temperature overall is cold, once out of the water, it’s chilly. It’s old, areas around are nasty with trash, not really clean especially in non used areas. What we like here is being easy with the rules - everyone is in hot tub, kids in life vests can ride slides in one tube with parents. It’s pretty crowded on weekends so you need to wait for tubes. It has 2 body slides and 1 tube slide, lazy River, lily pads, playground and hot tub.
Went last Friday. The pool had sand on the bottom and was nasty. No lazy river and they opened the slide about an hour or so before we left. Nobody to run the concession stand. We got a soggy pretzel that was cold because we had to wait a half hour for the cheese sauce since nobody bothered turning it on. But the best part was when the men in my family went to change someone had messed themselves in the door of the men's bathroom. And halfway around the pool to the men's bathroom. My SIL has to let staff know because they couldn't be bothered to check the facilities. And I had to point out the message going around the pool because of course they didn't see that. I won't how many people tracked it home.
I recently stayed the night at your hotel on August16th in room 514. When we got to our room the temperature was extremely warm and humid. I took a shower and when I got out, I could feel grim on the floor and had to wipe off my feet right away. I picked up a hair tie that my girlfriend had dropped in the bathroom and I found Cheetos on the floor telling me that either my room not been cleaned or it was not inspected after. I talked to the front desk and asked if they could have someone fix my AC while we were out getting dinner. When we returned, it was obvious that nobody had been there as it was still very hot in our room. This made sleeping that night pretty miserable until the storm came through and we finally got some cool fresh air in the room. When we were leaving, I mentioned it again to the front desk about the condition of our room and all I received in a response was "OK" and he looked away from me. This was a second date for us, and this did not leave us with a pleasant memory, more of a nightmare story. I wanted to make you aware of this as I booked our room through a 3rd party site called Booking.com, and I will be making them aware of the conditions my room was in when asked how my stay was. I have stayed at Arrowood hotels before and have always had a pleasant experience, but this time was unbelievable. I definitely will not be staying at this hotel again, nor will I recommend it to anyone., this is the e mail’s I sent them and not one reply back I called the gen manager not even a phone call back my date ended up with sick this last week with strep throat and I’ve hade throat congestion since then as well but we were both fine and full of energy Saturday on the way up there the only thing we could come up with is the bedding wasn’t clean we would have been better off with renting the cheapest hotel/motel in Alexandria, Minnesota for the evening to go and see the concert at the fair that weekend. I hope somebody reads this and chooses wisely. Thank you very much for taking your time. Arrowwood do better. You just bought this place a year ago.!!!!!!!!!!
