My experience was amazing and I love love love the General manager of the resort she is ON IT!! When I went to the front desk to ask for towels for our room and to have my telephone replaced it was a short very direct dialogue. She read me instantly! She is excellent! She is on it! My girls asked me about her as we were walking up the stairs going back to our room on the fourth floor. I said she is simply direct because she is on it! Coming from owning a business and managing businesses for over fourteen years I instantly knew she would get it and she did! I think she saw me as an adversary as I am also direct but she understood. She was also managing to the best of her ability to accommodate all clients visiting the resort. Also undergoing a very large group that booked much of the resort. She was excellent! I recommend this resort!

It was a very nice quiet stay, the arcade was amazing. Our stay landed on 9/14 (today) I stayed in a suite with very uncomfortable couch and a very soft bed over a nice weekend for the lantern festival, we met some great employees Kimberly at the front desk in the town hall was one member of the staff that was exemplary. As well Luis at the arcade was also very excellent and polite.

I was honestly prepared for the worst vacation spot of my life judging from the most recent reviews but we were happy with our little stay at Split Rock. Only the Town Center had the water problems and you can see by my photos that the staff had water out for people to drink there. The reception staff was so so nice and gave us a room at The Lodge and the water there comes from a different source per the staff. I brought my two young kids and they did not mind that the resort is in need of superficial updates and some tlc - they had a blast at the arcade and the water park and in the room which had a great view! The activities and bones are charming but it does need updating.

Honestly, I’m really impressed. I had read a lot of reviews and didn’t know what to expect, but I came with my son and we ended up spending time at the arcade every day. He was thrilled with the prizes he won. We also got to play ping pong and bingo, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Luis took the time to explain all the activities we could do in the area, and the room was comfortable. Overall, I had a great time with my son.

Split rock must’ve been a very nice facility back in the day, but has obviously not been kept up in the last decade plus. The carpet needs replaced. The walls need painted virtually Everything needs to be updated. Many of the restaurants were not open at all or only on weekends. I felt sorry for the staff. They tried their best, but it was as if they knew the facility was on the decline. Do not expect maid service every day. In fact, I think the maids only clean rooms after people check out. The pools were fine. The miniature golf course was in disrepair. Be prepared to get your own towels exchanged, and that goes for toiletries as well (coffee, toilet paper.). Movie theater had movies from 20 years ago. Nothing recent the arcade and the bowling alley looked pretty nice. The gymnasium was OK and the fitness center had nautilus It was very nice. The waterpark is only open on weekends.
