What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed view of the university's facilities and services. Positives include the campus's beautiful architecture, well-maintained green spaces, and a comprehensive range of sports, fitness, and esports facilities that are seen as beneficial for students. However, significant frustrations exist regarding student access and operational consistency. Students frequently complain about being displaced from facilities like weight rooms and pools by 'classes' for non-students, despite paying for these amenities. Other issues include inaccurate information about facility hours, inconsistent operating times, student parking lots being closed for events, and some equipment being out of service. The unavailability of the sauna is also a point of contention, with suggestions for an appointment system.

Best place for all the sports, swimming pools, fitness centers and Esports as well! All in one place to hangout, gaming, much more best for students to get a relief from their curriculum activities!
Its still a cool place don't get me wrong but it gets very irritating when I try to use things like the weight rooms or pools just for someone to be hosting a "class" and just kick me out whenever they want as a student who is actually paying for it so some little kids or old people can have a "class". Like it is literally a college campus why are there so many outsiders?
At 5:25pm I called and asked if the pool/sauna was open. I was told yes it’s open until 7pm. I asked a total of 3 times just to confirm and I was assured the pool/sauna was open until 7pm. I get in my truck, drive there and am then told that the pool/sauna is closed today. I’m not impressed, but then again something like this is very on brand for CMU.
The campus was much more than I anticipated with lovely architecture. Lots of green areas and very cleanly maintained. The staff and student volunteers were very nice and the entire tour made us lean towards this university more than others.
The hours are all over the place and the parking lot is often closed to students for events… Students who pay a lot to park here. No reason why we shouldn’t be able to park in our own damn lot, because of some stupid event that no one’s even attending. On the bright side, the pool is nice and clean. Some of the machines and free weight equipment is out of service. We miss the sauna too- I know it’s hard w/Covid requirements, but they could let people make appointments to use it. We’re still paying for it.
