What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Alaska Club, particularly the Eagle River location, generally receives positive feedback for its fair pricing, extensive amenities, and excellent customer service, with specific staff members like Emily and JJ being lauded for their helpfulness and welcoming attitude. Members praise the summer camp for children's engaging activities and the effectiveness of programs like Floating Fitness. We just signed up for our membership at the Eagle River Location today! We love it already and the price is very fair for the amenities they offer, as well as access to all AK Club locations! A special thank you to Emily who hit it out of the park with showing us around and making the sign up process as seamless as possible and making us feel welcomed. Her customer service was top notch and it definitely helped solidify our decision to sign up! Can't wait to see where our fitness journey takes us with AK Club Eagle River🫶
My kids have thoroughly enjoyed themselves at the Alaska Club camp this summer. They come home every day excited to tell me about the crafts, activities, workouts, and adventures they have had. They really enjoy being able to swim every day and when there is a fitness class or library trip. I feel like the summer camp was worth every penny and my kids are already looking forward to doing it again next summer!
I have been a member since May 2003. My main focus has been water aerobics. Several years ago the AK club in Eagle River (my home club) added the Floating Fitness training and it has been a game changer. The instructor on Mon. And Weds. is an amazing woman who not only motivates and encourages to push that extra effort. We have enjoyed our membership and will continue utilizing this great indoor option for training.
The gym has a lot to offer and is nice but the splash pad is a whole other story. The flooring, specifically in the splash pad area, is far too rough. My son has scraped his foot multiple times, and during our most recent visit, I got hurt myself—badly enough to seriously question how safe the surface really is. They were helpful but I don’t feel entirely safe going back to the splash pad. For the amount we’re paying each month, I expect better safety standards and more attention to maintenance. Kids should be able to play without getting injured every time, and adults shouldn’t have to worry about getting hurt either. I hope management takes this seriously and makes improvements soon, because right now the value just doesn’t match the price.
I was in town for a family emergency and the Eagle River facility was great to me. JJ the customer service manager was very nice and allowed me to use the club while in town. As a former employee this is why I come back when I am in town. Awesome company, people and facilities. I highly recommend.
