I was at the pool on Wednesday this past week. The pool was pretty dirty. I felt ashamed because I took friends from out of town to swim. There was standing water at poolside that had a green film on it. This told me it is not cleaned. If the city or county has a crew to clean this park it is not being used!!! The deck of the pool looks as if it has never been pressure washed. There were many lifeguards so they were present just no clean up crews . I noticed the summer camps are there. So buncombe county get the clean up crews to this pool.

We love this pool! It's the largest around, has a huge shallow wade-in for the tots & a full 10 foot deep end for the swimmers, as well as dedicated lap lanes most of the time. The lifeguards are absolutely on point, I always felt safe with my kids there when they were younger, they're very vigilant. Plus, being by the river adds a soothing, welcome breeze! And, for an extra bonus, there's usually an ice cream or Kona ice truck stopping by with great chill-down treats! We're so thankful to have this spot nearby, it's a regular summer fun go-to!

We Love this pool! The size accommodates lots of adults & kids. The staff are friendly and helpful. Only wish they had a small concession stand similar to Black Mountains' pool that sells refreshments and googles, etc. But overall its great!

Yes I Love this place, but please stay open later by just an hour so those of us who get off at 5pm can get drive 1/2 hr in traffic, get there and swim for an hour! Community pools are for all of us, those who work 9-5 and pay taxes for it, yet its not open long enough for us to swim as well. Please folks making the hours...consider us working folks!!

Excellent lifeguard staff. They really take health and safety serious . They have 10 minute breaks for the children to rest. They have lap swimming too. I really like they test the water often for chlorine and ph levels. All for 3 bucks. Sometimes they play good musik. The lifeguards utilize a rotation throughout the different sections of the pool. There is grassy areas, tables and benches. You are allowed to bring your own chairs and ice chest. The only mark against this pool is the city needs to budget funds for bathrooms and shower renovations. But the staff really cleans and works with what is provided by the city. You can pay by card. I highly recommend this place and really hope upper management rewards them monetarily.
