TL/DR: We won't be going back. Claremar Twin Lakes is a beautiful campground. But expensive, especially after Labor Day when there are no amenities. The pool is closed, the beach is closed, the inflatables on the water are gone. And they still charge nearly $100 a day. It's not really worth it. If you don't have the amenities available, then you shouldn't make campers pay for them. We have a three wheel golf cart but as of the time of our stay there was nothing in their terms and conditions that said three wheel golf carts were forbidden. Management told us we couldn't drive it, but weren't able to tell us why. The employees made it right, I will give them that. They refunded us the golf cart fee (yes, they charge you $10 a day to bring your own cart or you can pay $85 a day to rent one of theirs) and they allowed us to use one of the park's carts for free. I believe the manager's name was Bree. She was fabulous. But after that, and all the nickel and diming we experienced, it left a sour taste in our mouths. And speaking of taste, the food truck, American Mess, was awful. We only got breakfast but we got biscuits and gravy. The gravy was tasteless and the biscuits were actually the previous night's hamburger buns that were stale and burnt black.

We rented a deluxe cabin that slept 6. The cabin was beautiful, right on the lake! The only thing I would have liked to have known ahead of time is that the queen bed up in the loft only fits SMALL people or children. Of course that was expected of the bunk beds. Clean cabin, air conditioning, stove burners, microwave, full-size fridge and freezer, shower w/ toiletries, hand towels, all beds have soft sheets, blankets and pillows. Hand soap, toilet paper provided. Plus, all plates, cups and utensils that you would ever need! Just bring your own bath and beach towels! Nice that you won’t need to lug bedding, plates, forks, etc. Every staff member there is super-friendly and nice 👌🏻 We will be back again 😁

Management is rude. They will literally harass you if you don’t leave by the minute of checkout time. And then ask if you have a “card for the gate” and if you do and don’t turn it in will charge you- which I completely understand. But we never received a “card”- so, a little confusing. Maybe take note Of who you give a “card” to Instead of calling and threatening to charge for a card you never gave out? The place is completely unorganized, dirty, and again full of rude staff members. Especially whoever runs management lately. Absolutely no customer service. There’s plenty of campgrounds around locally that are a lot more friendly and accommodating. This one isn’t worth the trip. 👌🏼

Our stay here was awesome! Our campsite rite on the lake was beautiful, the washrooms were clean and well maintained, and the staff wad amazing. Was closing time as got there, and they went out of their way, got us 2 golf carts, and had wood dropped off at our site! So thankful, they are excellent and we'll be back soon!
