What are people saying (AI review summary)? Tyler Racquet Club (also referred to as Tyler Athletic and Swim Club) is widely praised as a vibrant, well-maintained facility offering an extensive array of amenities for all ages and skill levels. Members appreciate the indoor and outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, a full gym, AstroTurf field, and a popular resort-style pool featuring a rope swing, slide, designated areas for various swimmers, and lap lanes. Complimentary fitness classes, strong junior programs, and generally friendly and helpful staff are also highlighted. However, a significant drawback consistently mentioned is the extremely difficult and frustrating membership cancellation process, involving unreturned calls, needing to employ deceptive tactics to reach a director, and persistent erroneous charges (such as food and beverage minimums) and unfulfilled refund promises even after cancellation paperwork is submitted. While the facilities and diverse programming are highly regarded, potential members should be aware of these administrative challenges.

Tyler Racquet Club is a vibrant, well‑maintained facility perfect for all skill levels. Aerin and Rob run a tight ship! With both indoor and outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, a full gym, AstroTurf field, and a resort‑style pool, there’s something for everyone. The staff is friendly, fitness classes are complimentary, and junior programs are strong. Membership delivers excellent value. Come for the pickleball- stay for the pool!
The facilities and programming are nice, although you’ll pay for it. However, you’ll get the run-around once you try to cancel your membership. If you call and tell them you need to talk to the member director about canceling your membership, they’ll always take a message and then not return your call. My wife had to pretend to be interested in a new membership to get a hold of the member director to actually cancel. We submitted the paperwork to cancel our membership two months before the deadline. They stopped charging us the membership fee but still charged us the $25 food and beverage minimum. I’ve called about it, been told the general manager will refund it - it hasn’t been refunded and I imagine I’ll have to call again or show up to get this taken care of. Can’t recommend for that reason. UPDATE: More than 2 weeks later, we still have not received our money back.
Great swimming place! Plenty of fun for kids. Has a very good area for smaller children as well as a good area for good swimmers. Rope swing and slide attraction. Swimming lanes for exercise. Inside has a gym and bar area as well as food. There’s a tennis court and soccer area as well. Nice and clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. You have to be a member to get it or be a guest of a member. Overall great place and lots of fun. Thanks!!
Tyler Athletic and Swim Club: Where Sweat Meets Chlorine If you’ve ever wanted to feel both incredibly fit and slightly drowned at the same time, Tyler Athletic and Swim Club is the place for you. This fine establishment offers all the joys of exercise—like panting, sweating, and questioning your life choices—combined with the distinct possibility of getting splashed in the face by an overenthusiastic lap swimmer. The gym? Fully equipped with enough machines to make you regret that extra slice of pizza. The pool? A glorious body of water where elite swimmers, casual floaters, and that one guy who insists on doing an aggressive butterfly stroke all coexist in semi-chaotic harmony. Want to take a fitness class? Prepare to get humbled by a retired grandma who can out-plank you. Customer service? Let’s just say it ranges from “Olympic-level helpful” to “I’m pretty sure that front desk guy was asleep with his eyes open.” And if you’re here for relaxation, the sauna is a great place to sweat out your sins while eavesdropping on some absolutely riveting local gossip. All in all, if you’re looking for a place to lift, swim, sweat, and maybe even survive a rogue pool noodle attack, Tyler Athletic and Swim Club delivers. Just remember—hydration is key, whether it’s from your water bottle or the splash zone in lane three.
Excellent pool facility. Very clean, well kept up. Staff are very helpful. Great place to relax by the pool.
