I'm a member of the Alcovy Fitness & Wellness Silver Sneekers. The staff there are outstanding always helpful the get to know everyone. Its a great place to work out! They always have classes going on as well as personal trainers. The swimming pool is the best. Year round heated. I would recommend them to everyone if your looking to get fit and enjoy doing it it's the place to be.

Experienced my first cycle class yesterday and I have to say that I was impressed with the high energy and enthusiasm that Jodi Garner produced. Great instructor and atmosphere. I recommend to anyone looking to have fun and exercise to give her class a try!

Owwwwww i love it here... im currently training for a triathlon and had been dealing with the disguisingness that is La fitness' pool... cold, dumped with chlorine and yuck! N half the time when I went all the dang lanes were full I was so over it when a girlfriend told me about Alcovy!!!! I immediately went up and the Lovely Ms. Sarah showed me around told me the pool was HEATED n i could reserve a lane! BAM sign me up... i started swimming the next a.m AND I LOVED IT!!! the 5am faces, Mr. Sean n Miss. Lyndsey are friendly and full of smiles so its a very pleasent a.m workout!! The locker rooms and entire facility are super clean and they have alll kinds of classes!!!!!! Here to stay!!!!

I find the fitness center to be an excellent facility; the staff is friendly and professional. The availability of a swimming pool and ample treadmills is a significant advantage for me.

I got a membership to this gym because I recently moved to Oxford and wanted to be at a place that had a sauna. I got my membership on a Sunday. The locker rooms were not that clean and reeked of urine, but I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt. It was the end of the week, after all. However, on my third visit that week, the cleanliness did not improve and there were two dead large cockroaches in the sauna. Not to mention the lack of cleanliness in the showers. You could see the built-up dirt in all of the corners and that made me extremely uncomfortable. After telling the amazing front desk person, Leah, about my grievances, she assured me that she would let the managers know and would have that handled. That was Thursday. I returned on Saturday to find the location where the cockroaches were was spot cleaned, but everywhere else was still dirty. This action reflected, “we do not value our clients and we will do just enough.” Because I value cleanliness, integrity, and good customer service, as well as my time, energy, and money, I immediately terminated my membership that day. Just up the street, Planet Fitness is clean and smells good. Unfortunately, it does not have a sauna - WHICH I REALLY WANTED - but I will take cleanliness over a sauna any day. It is unfortunate because I had a lot of hope for Alcovy, but I refuse to go somewhere to realign my energy, empower my body, and clear my mind while being subjected to filth.
