What are people saying (AI review summary)? This pool is generally highly praised for its cleanliness, affordability (around $4-6 for kids/adults), and family-friendly environment with fun areas for all ages. Lifeguards consistently receive positive feedback for being courteous, professional, attentive, responsible, and effective at enforcing safety rules. It's considered a great spot for a hot day or even sports team parties. However, one significant area of criticism is the facility's strict re-entry policy, which can lead to frustrating experiences for patrons needing to briefly leave and return (e.g., to retrieve a forgotten item from a car) shortly after paying admission, requiring an additional fee. There's a suggestion for more flexible, customer-friendly policies in such minor situations. Additionally, one reviewer noted frequent lifeguard whistle blowing due to children running, suggesting patrons should better control their kids.

I love taking the kids here on a hot summer day. Admission is not expensive at all. $4 for kids under the age of 12 and I think it’s $6 for adults. Clean pool but get here early if you want a chair to sit you stuff down in.
Very clean pool, offering families of all ages fun areas to play. Extremely courteous lifeguards that are great with kids and also aren't afraid to blow the whistle to get the attention of rule breakers. We've done our sports team party there 2 years now and we had a fantastic time both years. The lifeguards are very responsible and respectful young men and women.
Really clean and nice pool and splash pad. It's a great place to take the kids for a day of fun. However, I had a bit of an unfortunate experience after paying the entrance fee. I realized I forgot the sunscreen in the car about 5 minutes after entered the gate. The staff, who were teenagers, informed me that I needed to pay an additional $1 for leaving and re-entering. I tried to explain to them that I had just paid 5 minutes prior and that I forgot the sunscreen in the car. The staff insisted on the extra $1, and it took some time before I could resolve the issue with the employees. In fact, I asked my grandson to go to the car and get the additional $1 so that I could pay them (they stood over me at my chair by the pool demanding that we pay the $1). , they told me they would charge another $1 for my grandson leaving and getting the $1. This was extremely frustrating and very bad first experience at this pool. I feel that this kind of situation could be avoided with a better approach. When I initially paid the entrance fee, they did offer an option to pay an additional $1 in case I wanted to go to my car for something to eat or to leave and come back. However, I declined since I was not planning on leaving and returning at later time. However, when the sunscreen situation arose, the staff adhered strictly to the rules and stood over me until I paid the additional $1. It was even more frustrating situation because I could even find the suntan lotion in the car!!! I later found out that I actually had the sunscreen in my bag all along. OMG!!! I believe there could be a more customer-friendly solution to this problem. Perhaps the facility could train the employees to allow for such a minor situation This way, parents wouldn't have to go through such frustrating experiences, and the staff wouldn't have to enforce such strict policies on such a small minor situation. I don't blame the young staff for this incident; they were simply following the rules set by the City. Instead, I believe the City should reconsider its policies and find a more practical approach to prevent such situations from occurring in the future. A little flexibility could go a long way in ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved. Let's work together to find a better solution and avoid unnecessary frustrations and complications for both workers and parents who visit the pool."
This summer (2020) was our first visit to Dellinger Pool..It is AMAZING! ALL of the life guards were super professional, kind, incredibly attentive, and helpful, despite being relatively young. It was NEVER crowded, making for easy social distancing, beautiful facility, plus it is child AND adult friendly. They broke up the day into sessions, allowing for frequent cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces and bathrooms. I paid 5/visit for me and my son. We both LOVED swimming here. I enthusiastically recommend.. We can't wait till next summer.
I love this pool and the life guards. They work very hard to make sure everyone stays safe! They deserve gratitude and many thanks. Now what I would love is if people would stop letting their children run so I don't have to hear that whistle every 2 seconds.
