Health and wellness facility with fitness equipment, a sauna, pools, and physical therapy services.
The facility typically features two distinct pools: a lap pool maintained at a cooler temperature, generally around 79-80°F (26-27°C), suitable for invigorating swimming workouts; and a warmer water therapy pool, usually kept between 90-92°F (32-33°C), ideal for rehabilitation, gentle exercise, and relaxation.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This gym receives mixed reviews. Many members praise the excellent equipment, clean facilities, and the appealing aquatic areas, including a great pool and hot tub. The staff are frequently described as friendly, approachable, and helpful, and the quality of classes and personal training is often highlighted as a positive. The location and views are also appreciated. However, significant criticisms revolve around membership practices, with multiple complaints about unfair rules, being 'nickel and dimed' for various services, and strict cancellation policies leading to unexpected charges. Other common negative points include issues with shower cleanliness and temperature (going cold if multiple people are using them), a frequently crowded pool, and a sauna that is not hot enough. Some members also reported rude fellow members and a general feeling of poor value for money.

Great equipment, great pool, lockers are secure if you BYO lock. Staff are friendly and approachable and the classes are really good quality. The showers and bathrooms are often not clean.
I wouldn’t recommend getting a membership here unless your ok with giving away free money, they have all these unfair rules to make as much money from customers as possible, I was coming here for a little while until I found out the hard way that shower goes cold if someone else is taking one at same time, I got my membership for two reasons the sauna ans the pool, Every time I come, there’s no room in the pool, In the sauna, they turned it down for the elder people so you don’t really sweat in there, On top of a lot of rude members, I felt like I was walking on egg shells, I’ve canceled my membership halfway through the month and they keep trying to charge me for an extra month after I didn’t get my moneys worth. They can take me to court. Terrible experience and I’m not the only one ! … also not one time did a single employee ever come up to me, I paid for 3-4 months and went maybe 10-15 times and they’re still trying to charge me , they’ve made out enough from me. ( top dollar for low quality experience, no more paying for cold showers for me )
Great place with friendly staff. The pool is great and the large hot tub makes for a great place to relax your muscles after a workout or swim. Free classes are also a big perk and helps mitigate/justify the higher cost than other gyms in the area. Lots of equipment and little rooms for different uses.
I love Island! It's in an amazing location, and it's so nice to see the inlet out of the large windows as I'm running on the treadmill. The facility is clean and has a nice array of equipment. The aquatic area is also very clean and well maintained. I love the oasis room on the second floor which has great machines and doesn't get as busy as the first floor when the gym is at its busiest. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. I highly recommend their personal training packages if you're working towards a goal but aren't sure where to start. I would recommend this gym to anyone!
This place will nickel and dime you every chance they get. Sign up - charge. Borrow a towel - charge. Freeze your account - charge. Try and cancel your membership - better do it by the 10th or they will charge you for another month. Skip getting a membership here
