What are people saying (AI review summary)? The park provides enjoyable experiences for children, who love seeing fire trucks and airplanes, and is generally considered a relaxing spot for adults. However, several critical issues were raised by reviewers. Major complaints include the complete absence of public restroom facilities, even for areas like a splash pad, and the adjacent fire department's refusal to provide public access. Accessibility is also a concern, with no wheelchair ramp near one of the entrances to Wood Park. Furthermore, the park's cleanliness is a significant problem, with multiple reports of it being very trashy, leading to community members voluntarily cleaning it.

My Children Love the Fact that They could See Fire Trucks and Airplanes while Playing at the Park. I'm in a Wheelchair, and there is not a Ramp for Wheelchair Users if you want to Park near the Fire station to Enter Wood Park. I Creatively Helped Myself up and Down the Curbs to Enter and Leave the Park. Please Build a Ramp Here 🙏🏽
We decided to have my granddaughter’s birthday party at the park Sat around noon with a few of her friends and family because it’s her favorite park but I was so disappointed to find out that there are no bathroom facilities and not even one of the outdoor port-o-potty that the public may use while attending the park. I even walked her over to the fire dept which sits in the same parking lot and asked to use their bathroom and was told they had no public restroom! I found this ridiculous to turn a three year old away so Richmond Co I say you need to DO BETTER!!!
The most trash I’ve ever seen at a park :( really disappointing Edit: A dad is out here with a trash bag cleaning. Asked him if he worked for the park and he said no, it just looks so bad and my kids and I play here a lot.
Until now, I was unaware of the lack of a bathroom. A splash pad should always not only have a bathroom facility for the children and the parents as well. It is important to provide clean spaces to prevent the chances of infections. I pray this facility is part of their plans for the future. RSJ
Great place to take kids and you watch and relax.
