About

Public swimming pool open during warm months with lessons, aerobics, and free swim times.

The main pool at Dye Natatorium is consistently maintained at a comfortable temperature of 82 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 27.8 degrees Celsius).

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility is generally praised for its nice, beautiful indoor swimming pool, friendly and courteous staff, and a variety of offerings including swim lessons, open sessions, and water aerobics. It's particularly valued by older adults for low-impact exercise. Positive aspects include good amenities for summer and enjoyable lessons. However, common criticisms point to limited lap swim times, especially in the evenings when lanes are often prioritized for aqua aerobics and the water temperature is considered too warm for laps. There's a strong desire for the facility to be open year-round. A minor caution was also raised about driving habits in the parking area.

What a GTEAT PLACE! Swim lessons, lap swim, open sessions, water aerobics, friendly and courteous staff. Beautiful indoor swimming pool with a concrete patio, picnic table and lounge chairs. Contact Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks Department for info on their swim card purchase. Multiple swims on a punch card. Great place to spend your summers.

A nice place with good staff. Be very careful of the older crowd while entering or exiting the facility. They have "random" driving habits and you really need to drive defensively or you will get hit by a car.

Super limited lap swim times except for dawn patrol session. In the evenings lap swimmers play second fiddle to aqua aerobics that take up several lanes. Water far too warm for laps. Again, this is from caving to aerobics crowd. Evening laps is just one measley hour.

The Dye Natatorium needs to be open year around. Many of us who are older and have physical issues can get the exercise we need in the pool. Low impact aerobics are perfect for us.
