About

Baraboo RV Resort By Rjourney, located at E10545 Terrytown Rd in Baraboo, WI, offers a comfortable and amenity-rich experience for RV travelers. Situated conveniently near popular attractions like Devil's Lake State Park and Wisconsin Dells, the resort provides various site options with full hook-ups, along with amenities such as Wi-Fi, bathhouses, laundry facilities, and recreational features designed for family enjoyment.

The resort features a heated pool and a hot tub. While specific temperature readings are not publicly listed, the pool is maintained at a comfortable temperature suitable for swimming, and the hot tub is typically kept at a warmer, relaxing temperature.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This campground receives highly mixed reviews, with a significant number of guests expressing disappointment following its acquisition by RJourney. Long-time visitors lament a decline in atmosphere, activities, and occupancy, describing the park as 'eerily quiet' and 'half empty' compared to its past vibrant state under previous owners who were praised for their engagement and improvements. Cabin rentals are often criticized for being small, overpriced, and poorly equipped, requiring guests to bring everything, including basic cleaning supplies, and occasionally dealing with insufficient cleaning by previous renters. Campsites draw varied feedback; while some are noted as spacious and easy to back into, others are described as tiny, uneven, prone to becoming muddy after rain, and attracting many bugs, making outdoor enjoyment challenging. Fire pits are also noted to be too close to RVs on some sites. On the positive side, the campground offers a range of amenities including a pool, playground, jumping pillow, swimming pond, game room, mini golf, and a camp store. It is also recognized for its friendly dog policy and a dedicated dog park. Bathrooms are generally clean, though showers lack temperature control. Many reviewers conclude that the campground no longer lives up to its past reputation and would not recommend it for a full vacation unless substantial improvements are made.

This place has a lot going on. We rented a cabin and were surprised how hands off they are. You need to bring everything, and I mean everything. They supply nothing but a broom. You are also responsible for sweeping. So if the last renter did a poor job sweeping, you may need to clean up after them. The room needed a fly swatter, so we had to buy one in town. We went here due to the friendly dog policy and it was a great place for dogs. They have a nice little dog park. Our dog had fun finding trash left over from previous renters in our very cozy little cabin. The 6 person deluxe cabin we rented was very small. We had 2 adults and 2 kids and I cannot imagine having 6 people in this cabin. Two bunk beds, one in the kitchen and the other is basically in the bathroom. It was weird how empty this place was in the middle of July and also seeing what appears to be people with permanent trailers there, but not staying there. So I guess they let people rent lots here year round, even though they do not stay year around, giving the place a half empty feel. The price for the small cabin was on the high side.

I really feel the need to say that this campground has gone downhill since Greg and Laurie sold to a "big" corporation like RJourney. We would stay here at least 2 times every Summer and absolutely loved it! They always had something planned and it was never boring and always packed. Kids were running around and riding bikes all over the campground but not now. There was hardly anyone there this weekend. It's like the wind was taken out of the sails. It was eerily quiet. It used to be packed on weekends and now it isn't which is to bad. We counted 33 unoccupied sites. Both Greg and Laurie were always on site working on something to make the campground better for guests and always offered a smile and would stop and talk to people. I miss those days because this used to be a great campground but not anymore and sorry to say that we will no longer be staying here in the future unless something drastically changes. I wish I had known that they were looking to sell because my wife and I wouldn't have hesitated to buy this campground.

We had a good weekend of early fall camping. We liked our site for the most part. It was plenty wide and easy to back into with a travel trailer. Some of the other things they have on site is a pool from Memorial day to labor day. Giant chess, checkers, and connect four. A jumping pillow, a playground, a swimming pond, a game room, mini golf, also a camp store that has food, ice cream and some table top games. You can also rent a multi person pedal cart as well, though you don't have all that much area to ride it. The showers are ok, you have two options on or off. No real temperature control. It was a little to hot for my son so that was kind of a problem. The bathrooms were clean. We have now stayed here a couple times and both times enjoyed our stay.

What a great fun family, couples, and friends camping ground to stay. Friendly, great service. Owners would spend time talking and finding out about you. Definitely book a couple of days or longer. Good for a night as well, but there is so much to do there. We booked twice there in two weeks. Stop there before going to Minnesota, stopped on the wayback heading home.

We were in town for an event. This place was fine for the weekend. The price was right, but I wouldn't want to actually vacation here. It rained pretty heavy and because there was no grass or gravel, our campsite was nothing but mud. The back sites are teeny tiny; it felt like we were right on top of our neighbors. The fire pit is a hub cap extremely close to the rv; we didn't want to risk a camp fire. The standing water seems to attract a ton of bugs; they were THICK. Our site was so uneven, we could not get our smallish camper level. All in all, it was ok to sleep, but really didn't make you want to be outside.
