All I know about this place is that there is a bunch of studs up there the lifeguards are all studs and should get paid more.
I play soccer there every year. place big enough for few hundred people.
This Olympic sized pool is very clean and well maintained. I very much disagree with the other reviews that criticize the staff and their demeanor. As a new member of the Northfield community, they have been nothing but welcoming and kind. The staff need to use loud voices to get the attention of swimmers- taking it personally is ridiculous.
I actually avoided this location and drove to neighboring towns for sometime, the pool is great clean but some of the female staff members act as if they are seeking confrontation on every interaction causing alot of Stress. There is a difference between keeping people safe and being a bully. I am trying to give this place another chance but so so hard not leave with eye twitches. Almost better to drive to Montpelier, so sad to feel this way in the community and I know I'm not alone in this. Others refer to them as the scary ladies, maybe town needs to take a vote?
Nice little park with a basketball court, ballfield, pool, and playground. The playground used to be epic, but all the playsets were torn down years ago when it was discovered the pressure-treated wood used in pretty much every playground built since the 70s contained arsenic. The replacement playground is sufficient, but nowhere near as awesome as the old one. It's basically a twirly slide, tower, and some climbing bars. Behind the ballpark there are some fields and trails that are a nice place to walk dogs. Those aren't technically part of the park and are probably private property, but folk hike around back there and nobody seems to mind.
