What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Aqua Pit offers a generally fun and active experience, particularly with its inflatable obstacle course, which many found to be an enjoyable workout suitable for various ages. Positive aspects include the ability to bring personal coolers, shade, and sunscreen, as well as the convenience of online waiver completion. Some visitors praised the friendly staff and clean beach. However, several significant criticisms were raised. Concerns include a perceived reduction in the number of inflatables without a corresponding price decrease, making some feel it was expensive for the limited and scheduled activities available. Staff professionalism was inconsistently reported, with some reviews citing intrusive cooler checks, unidentifiable or inattentive lifeguards (who were observed sitting on floats, flirting, or laying out), and even staff allegedly making fun of patrons. A strict and seemingly arbitrary swimsuit policy caused a negative experience for one family, leading to an activity interruption. Other issues included limited equipment (e.g., kayaks) and unkempt areas (seaweed). While some highly recommend the Aqua Pit, others expressed disappointment and stated they would not return. Buying tickets in advance is a common recommendation to minimize wait times.

Fun for all ages! You want to make sure the younger kids are ok w/ getting their faces wet and falling off, you will definitely fall off! But it was fun and totally worth the experience!! You can bring your own cooler and I highly recommend if you plan on spending the day! Bring shade just in case! And tons of sun screen!! Very friendly staff and great service!!
I love the Aqua Pit! On the way there, it was raining, and we thought we were going to get rained out. We were told that if there was lightning, they would have to close the park. Thankfully, it didn’t rain once we got there—it ended up being beautiful, even though it had been pouring on the drive over. We did the one-hour activity pass and used it on the inflatable obstacle course. There was also a two-hour option and even an all-day pass available. Honestly, the course was a huge workout, and I don’t think I could’ve made it through two full hours! It was affordable and an absolute blast. I would highly recommend this place. P.S. We did have to wait up to 10 minutes because they bring out new groups each hour. We arrived at 5:40, and by the time we got our tickets, it was 5:50—so we waited about 10 minutes until the 6:00 group started. If we had gotten there even a bit later, we likely wouldn’t have waited at all. The only reason I’d recommend maybe buying tickets in advance is because it was easy for us—we walked right up to the window and got tickets. But if it’s busy, having tickets ahead of time could help speed things up at the window. Good thing to know: To even enter the beach area, you must fill out a waiver. You can complete the waiver online ahead of time, which is super convenient.
I’m giving this place two stars for several reasons: 1. I do recommend buying your tickets in advance so you don’t have to waste time filling out a form at the entrance with your information. 2. It’s a bit expensive for the limited number of activities you can do. Plus, the activities have scheduled times, so you can’t do them whenever you want. The HydroZone was fine and honestly the only good part. 3. There were five of us in my family, and we paid for two activities so we could also do the kayaking, but they only have four kayaks, so we couldn’t do it together. 4. You’re not allowed to wear swimsuits that show too much of your body because the staff is strict about that. One of my family members wore shorts that weren’t revealing at all, we were told that someone complained about him “showing too much.” His shorts were long and didn’t show anything, honestly. They had to stop the activity we were doing just to explain the complaint and offer him another swimsuit to change into. It was a waste of time, and in truth, my cousin wasn’t showing his body at all—there were other people wearing way more revealing swimsuits. If you asked me whether I’d go back, I’d say no. We drove all the way from South Bend for a disappointing experience. We can find better places in our own area.
Most likely will NOT return....they definitely downsized the amount of inflatables from last year but the price did not downsize. There was a raft with a slide with the beach access, that was gone...an "adult section, with a nice raft, which was also gone, a fan favorite of a lauching float (the main reason why we returned)...The amount of washed up seaweed could have easily been raked up by staff prior to open, instead the staff was more concerned about what was in our coolers. Staff actually put their bare hands on our ice and moved it around to double check 🤢 for glass/alcohol. Lifeguards, if they were even lifeguards-they were not wearing anything identifying with the red/white/etc lifeguard logo...they were also observed sitting on top of the floats, in the way of paying customers, but two of them were more concerned about flirting with patrons and laying out to get tan....instead of lifeguarding. The amount of times they yelled, "no flips, no dive, don't jump that way, no this no that. Don't throw clay." My kids told me that they could hear the staff talking on the walkie talkies BC it was tied to the top of a float, no where near a lifeguard, making fun of patrons.
Nice clean beach. Great for parties and kid friendly.
