Valiant Park Pool, located at 2624 Carey Smith Blvd in Bay City, TX, is a public outdoor swimming facility managed by the City's Parks and Recreation department. It serves as a popular community amenity during the summer months, offering a recreational space for residents to enjoy swimming, cool off, and participate in water activities, often supervised by lifeguards.
Specific controlled water temperatures for Valiant Park Pool are not typically publicized, as it is an unheated outdoor public pool. The water temperature is generally ambient, fluctuating naturally with the prevailing outdoor weather and air temperatures during its operational season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for the pool are generally positive, highlighting its cleanliness, the nice water, and the professional and courteous lifeguards. Users appreciate the spacious shallow end, diving area, swimming lanes, and provided equipment like swim boards and rafts. The water aerobics led by Carolyn is specifically praised. However, there's one strongly negative review describing the pool as a 'cesspool' with algae and criticizing the people associated with it as 'rude' and 'ungrateful'. Another review, while largely positive about the pool itself, notes that the restroom facility building is in need of cosmetic repair.

The water aerobics led by Carolyn is great!
Everyone had a blast. The pool was clean and the water was nice. I hope the City puts some money into facilities maintenance soon, as the building where the restrooms are is definitely in need of cosmetic repair.
The pool has lifeguards watching while kids played in the spacious shallow end, the deep and wide diving area, and the lanes. The pool also provided swim boards and flippers for swimming as well as large inflatable pool rafts. The bay city aqua cats did their swimming here
Kids have worked out in many pools. This one is quite clean, and lifeguards have all been courteous and professional. Bathroom is always clean, and pool deck is always clean.
This is the worst example of a swimming pool. It is more like a cesspool. Whatever you do don't come to a swim meet here. These are rudest, most ungrateful group of folks that you will find in the CCAA League for certain. I for one, will never be back to this algae covered pool. This place is the worst pool I have seen in years.
