What are people saying (AI review summary)? Funtown receives predominantly negative reviews, with many visitors expressing significant concerns about the facility's condition. Frequent complaints include 'super green' or 'truly green' water, often attributed to non-functioning pumps and lack of chemical treatment, raising serious health and safety concerns. Multiple reviews report broken or damaged slides, a damaged lazy river entrance, and a non-functional current in the lazy river. Several customers highlighted a perceived lack of management to address these issues and difficulties obtaining refunds. While one reviewer had a surprisingly positive experience, most described the park as a 'health hazard' and a 'waste of money,' advising others to avoid it. Practical details noted include a $25 per person entry fee, a relatively small lazy river, and a re-entry policy allowing visitors to leave and return after getting food.

This place is absolutely disgusting. One of the slides were broke. The water was super green. The lady working the admissions building said the pump has not been working for days and they couldn’t even treat the water with chemicals. No manager, no boss, no one in charge to fix the problem. I would not bring my family to this place. This is definitely a health concern in my opinion. We left just a few mins after getting there and the lady didn’t really want to refund my money. Definitely not worth it. DONT GO!

We have been coming to Crystal Beach for about 20 years and have come to Funtown many times. Always have had a great experience. But this year the water was green and one of the slides was not going. The employees told us that the pump to the lazy river was broken and they moved the pump from the blue slide to the lazy river. They said that the water should be cleared up pretty quick. The kids went down the slide many times but we adults didn’t want to float in the lazy river due to the green water. We were there for 3 hours hoping the situation would improve but it didn’t. We had 9 people with us and we were very disappointed for the $175 we spent. We are now concerned, after the fact, that it wasn’t safe to swim in that water. They probably should have closed for the day! Waste of money for our day!

We visited this place a few years ago and it was fine. Quaint, good for family. Now, it is a health hazard. The water was truly green, there was a portion of the entrance to the lazy river that was damaged, covered with a tarp held down by bricks. The lazy river had no current, Ave the water slides appeared damaged. We left almost as soon as we came and I regret letting my kids get into the water. This is a place that Should Fear a lawsuit - but I doubt their insurance would cover it as they are so full of violations. Go another mile down the road to fun spot - a true classic and much better maintained. Do not bring your kids here.

Okay so I had to check this place out. Quick Summary $25 per person for all day. No food or drinks allowed inside. There's a super small lazy river that's about 2.5' deep. When I stood up it barely came to my waist. They have 2 slides next to each other. Their bathroom was in an old camper trailer. It's actually cuter than it sounds. Lunch idea My kids were hungry after about an hour of sliding. So I loaded them up and went down the street to Hunt Brother Pizza at the Big Store. Bought a large meat lovers pizza for $13.00, bottle of waters and went back and ate in the car. Once we were full we headed back into Fun town no questions asked and stayed for another hour... they were ready to go.
