Absolutely LOVE this place, the staff, the facilities and the fact that it’s in our town! Prices remain affordable year after year not only for admission but also concessions. The addition of the sandpit area was a huge game-changer for kids, they love it!
Such a fabulous place to take the kids on a hot day! There was plenty to enjoy for both little children and bigger kids. A little more expensive than I anticipated but would definitely return.
I absolutely love visiting the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center. The facility is clean and generously sized with lots of activities, the water is at a perfect temperature, and the food is surprisingly tasty! I have also found the staff to be quite pleasant. Here’s the thing: if they’re blowing a whistle or shouting something, you or your child are breaking a rule. Pool rules are in place to keep everyone out of the hospital—or worse, a coffin. All it takes is one split second, and I would know! I was one of those kids who very briefly ran along the side of a pool 20+ years ago just because I was having fun in the moment. I still have the scar from the stitches that had to be put in my face that day! Stay safe, follow the rules, and you’re guaranteed a great time.
This pool used to be great. The kids used to have so much fun here. They were able to bring in pool toys like pool balls. Rings and diving toys. In the last week that all changes. They can no longer bring in any toys. The lifeguard yelled at them for playing with z small pool ball. She said pool toys were forbidden. They get yelled at for splashing each other. They get yelled at if they dunk each other. At this point they feel like all they are allowed to do is stand in the water for fear of getting yelled at if they move. They uses to live it now they are just bored stiff. We pay way too much money for them to olg be allowed to stand around and talk. Very disappointed and upset with this place and no longer recommend it.
Awesome water park!! Has a concession stand, plenty of lounge chairs, a lazy river (which you can water walk in before noon), a lap pool (laps during the morning & free swim during the day), water basketball, 2 diving boards, a kiddie swim pool, 1 body slide & 1 single or double tube slide. All this for the fantastic price of $8 per day for non-residents & $4 for residents (in Hartford)!! I highly recommend this park to all who seek fun &/or relaxation on a beautiful summer day!!
