Kinda small, but we enjoy coming here when my nieces and nephew come for a visit. Cheap fun for the family. Could use a little updating, but it adds to the charm. It's really close to our house, so we love that.
They keep raising prices, and won't stop, and the facility has zero upgrades and is very dated. $75 a month is ridiculous especially considering it used to be $40 and nothing has changed. So much for affordable recreation center.
My daughter absolutely loves this pool it is her favorite! In fact we drive all the way from Prineville once a week to go swim here. The splash pad/pool for kids is amazing, so many activities! They even have a small slide for toddlers since they can't go up the big one yet. They can go down the big slide with an adult though! I'm throughly impressed! The price is very accommodating too! The ladies at the front could be a little nicer at times, but all around so much fun!
Update: It can be tough to get a lane here, as the pool is usually set up/scheduled for the needs of the Bend Swim Club, which means reduced lane availability during peak times. I get it, they need the space to practice, but for a $9 entrance fee (with no discounts for locals), it's tough to not feel a little disgruntled. -- This place is great. The women's locker room is always clean, the pools are beautiful, and the fitness center has a good variety of equipment. Some of the facilities and equipment are showing their age, but staff do a good job of keeping it up.
We’ve been members with BPRD for a few months now. Every time I go to the Juniper facilities I regret it. In comparison with Larkspur, this facility is outdated and not well kept. The bathing suit spinner in the women’s locker room has been broken for a while now, the lockers require that you bring your own lock, and the bathrooms/showers are dirty. Every time I go to Larkspur I see an employee doing a locker room check (mopping floors, wiping counters, etc). I don’t see this at Juniper and the conditions show. In addition, the locker rooms do not directly connect to the pool area like they do at Larkspur. I’ve never attempted to use the gym here because it is a very small/crammed space and always looks busy.
