Relaxing lake and dam that's known for fishing, plus kayaking.
There are no known swimming pools or associated pool temperatures at The Dam at Lake Shamrock. Any swimming would occur in Lake Shamrock itself, subject to natural lake water temperatures, which fluctuate seasonally.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this location are mixed. While some visitors highly praise the fishing, reporting catches of large pike and bass and calling it 'awesome' and 'great,' others find the fishing mediocre and challenging due to high pressure. The park area receives significant criticism for being neglected, with overgrown weeds, exposed pipes, visible garbage, graffiti, and signs of pollution like brown foam and dead crawfish in the water. Suggestions for improvement include adding amenities like playgrounds, picnic tables, and grills. Despite the mixed feedback, there are paths for biking and walking, and visitors are advised to carry their fishing license as it is checked.

Mediocre fishing, hit or miss in most spots, gotta get creative to catch em due to this being a high pressured area. Decent scenery though.
This could be a very nice park. It's not big, but it has the water running through there and a little waterfall/dam. They let the weeds overgrow everything and all these pipes (sewer lines?) running all over the place. You have to step over them everywhere. There's this dumpy tent in the middle of the park that looks like a transient lives there. The water is getting some brown foam and I noticed all the crawfish are dead on the bottom of the lake. There's absolutely nothing there but garbage and grafitti painted on the sidewalk crossing the tiny bridge. They could put in, maybe a playground, or a couple picnic, tables and barbecue grills. It's just dumpy anymore. And take the broken up chunks of concrete out of the lake! So sad, there's not many nice parks in Clare and this is just another casualty.
This lake is awesome. 2 times, I and a friend went out on kyaks the first time he caught a huge pike. The second time, I caught a 5.4lb 23-inch large mouth it was awesome
