What are people saying (AI review summary)? This pool is highly regarded as an excellent facility, particularly for families with children of all ages, offering features like clear, perfectly-tempered water, a great kiddie area, splash playground, whirlpool, wave pool, and diving boards. Visitors often praise the clean environment, good snack bar, and attentive lifeguards. However, a crucial point of contention is that despite appearing as a public pool in some searches, it is strictly membership-based and requires proof of Homewood residency, leading to frustration for non-residents and travelers. It is described as great for recreational swimming but not ideal for lap swimming, and operates only during the summer break. While it can be crowded, it is generally manageable and includes beneficial 'adult time' breaks.

The pool looks very nice and clean but this is not an “open to the public” pool . When I searched in google it came up as one, but when I loaded my kids up and drove there they said you have to be a member and must live in the Homewood area and show proof of residency. Just wanted to save someone the trouble.
Do not come here if you’re traveling through. We arrived and out kiddos were excited for us to be turned away for not living in the area. We saw “community pool” and assumed it was ran by parks & rec. It does not say that visibly on their website.
Great place for kids to swim but not for people looking to lap swim. It is also only opened during summer break when school is out and not year round.
Excellent pool, wonderful facilities. The splash playground makes me feel less guilty about not going to the crowded splash pads elsewhere around town and my 5 year old loves getting to swim in the big pool just as much. It's generally been fairly crowded when I've been but not unpleasantly so. They do a courtesy adult time every hour from what I can tell, they have anyone under... 14? Maybe 16? Get out or sit on the side of the pool (my son hates it but it makes a great opportunity to reapply his sunscreen while he can't swim, anyway... which reduces fighting for us.) It lasts maybe 10 minutes. They have a wave pool at one end that I love and two diving boards. Very much worth the price of membership if you're a Homewood resident, and you get access to several other amenities.
Went with my daughters & sons-in-law & all my grandkids. We had a ball. The water temp was perfect & the water color was crystal clear! Absolutely loved the kiddie area. Even our 1 yr old could walk around in it. The 3, 4, 5 yr old could enjoy some of the next level pool. They loved the whirlpool! Pretty good snack bar with burgers, hotdogs, nachos, fries, etc. Oh & a good number of attentive lifeguards!! We'll definitely go back!!
