Public facility with a pool and a splash area, plus waterslides and lifeguards.
Specific, officially published pool temperatures for the Oneonta Aquatics Facility are not readily available. As a seasonal outdoor public pool, its water temperature typically relies on ambient weather conditions and natural warming.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Oneonta Aquatics Facility is generally well-regarded as a great, clean, and family-friendly place with a nice pool, a slide, and a splash pad for smaller children. Reviewers appreciate the consistent 5-foot depth of the deep end, the comfortable shallow area, and the friendly lifeguards. Amenities include plenty of tanning chairs and a shaded area with tables. While outside coolers are not allowed (except water bottles), patrons can bring food and drinks for car picnics. Food options are simple and reasonably priced. Entry costs $5 per person, with season passes also available. However, a significant drawback is that it gets crowded quickly, and there's no diving board. A major complaint raised concerns about inconsistent operating hours, particularly later in the season (e.g., closing on weekdays in August), and a lack of timely updates on their website, leading to frustration for visitors.

It’s a great place. No diving board but it does have a slide and splash pad which is great and it’s separated for smaller kids. The shallow area is really nice to lay on or walk down into the deeper water. And the entire “deep” area is about 5 feet or so and there’s no big drop off so it’s nice. Life guards are sweet too! It does get crowded quickly but that’s to be expected.
Me and my family have been going here for many years. We absolutely LOVE Oneonta Aquatics Facility. They have a slide that me and my son love to zoooom down. They have a nice size pool, and a splash pad for the littles. The lifeguards are nice and polite. You can't bring coolers in here but they do allow you to bring your water bottles inside. You can also do like we do and pack two coolers one for food and one for drinks and go out to your vehicle and have a picnic. Their prices on food aren't terrible but they aren't great either. (However with the inflation its fair) They have plenty of tanning chairs that get filled up quickly. They also have a shaded area that has tables you can sit at. It cost $5 a person to get in. You can also purchase season passes $75. Or you can purchase family of 4 season passes for $50 each.
Very nice pool and splash pad! Lots of chairs, and some shade.
This is a great spot , And idea and concept . However. It is just now the middle of August and it is closed on a Thursday.!!! The website says open. Very misleading to people who drive to experience the peace relaxion of the heat . Yes school is back in session , however , if that is the case of operation hours it should be noted on the website 😕. Do better.... Stop doing a half tail job. It takes a minute at most to update a website or page..... Ill be glad to help out and show you how if you really don't understand . It seems more like the lack of care and organization and accountability.
Good experience and clean, kid friendly. They had simple food (hotdogs and nachos etc.) it does get very crowded so go early!
