What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the YMCA are mixed. Positive feedback frequently highlights the great, accessible location, friendly and helpful staff, and an excellent aquatic department, including well-maintained pools, effective swim lessons, and accommodating lifeguards. Some users appreciate the clean facilities, availability of various equipment (weight room, cardio, sauna, bike room), and the benefit of access to multiple YMCA locations, finding it to be good value. However, significant negative points are raised concerning the cleanliness of the main pool (described as dirty, with trash and bandaids), a persistent urine smell in the children's area, and 'ghetto' locker rooms. Additionally, some reviewers find the workout equipment too close together, lacking accessibility, and potentially dangerous, leading them to feel they are not getting value for their money and are seeking alternative gym memberships.

This YMCA used to be okay. However, the pool is disgusting, dirty and littered with bandaids and trash around the sides of the pool. The children's area always smells like urine too. I had to get out and leave to go to another YMCA.
Outdoor pool is nice, but overall, I'm not satisfied with the accommodations of this facility. Their locker rooms are ghetto, and I don't feel that I'm getting the value that I'm paying for. Also, the workout equipment is too close together and does not meet accessibility maneuvering clearances. But beyond that, it's dangerous. Currently searching for other gym membership options.
Great location to get a work out in! Very close to 65 and easy to get to in traffic. The facility is always clean and neat. The staff are nice and attentive both the clients and the facility. The pools are well taken care of and the environment is very casual.
Absolutely great location! The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. Their aquatic department is amazing as well. My kiddo learned to swim this year through some private lessons in one summers time. The lifeguards are always nice enough to turn the slides on when he asks!
I joined the Pelham YMCA a few months ago to help me train for a race for which I was preparing. I am so happy I made that decision. The facilities have been perfect for me. It’s never too crowded, the staff is always smiling and ready to help, and the pools are awesome. I have used the weight room, cardio equipment, pools, sauna, and bike room. The fact that I have access to all the Y’s in town make my membership worth every penny!
