Popular outdoor venue for concerts and events, plus playgrounds and a large water park.
The Sand Mountain Park & Amphitheater complex features an extensive Aquatic Center with multiple pools, including an indoor competition pool, an outdoor resort-style pool, a lazy river, and a warm-up/therapy pool. While specific, real-time pool temperatures are not publicly advertised, competition pools are typically maintained around 78-80°F (25-27°C) for athletic events, while leisure and therapy pools are generally kept warmer for guest comfort, often in the range of 85-90°F (29-32°C).

Went there last night for the Summer of Unity tour. While the bands all, somehow, sucked royally (they, admittedly, were all drunk and- most likely- stoned), the employees were all very friendly and efficient. The parking lot was so quick to get into because of how well the attendants worked together to get us in/out seamlessly. The drinks- while still expensive- were about $10 less than ones at the Coca Cola Amphitheater in Bham. Highway robbery there, and in a crap neighborhood, too. The bartenders were sweet and funny and seemed to be, genuinely, having a good time at work. The security guards I spoke to were all working diligently to protect us but still able to cut up. The sound quality was great (unfortunately, considering how terribly Raine and Ed sang). I never waited more than 5 mins to use the restroom, and they were clean and those upgraded port-a-potties. As a vet with PTSD who generally does poorly in large crowds, this place never felt overwhelming. It was so spaced out and the aisles were huge so you weren't bumping into people and felt there were ample ways to egress if needed. I truly appreciated the thought that was put into it, logistically. All in all, it was just a great experience with a beautiful setting. Can't wait to come back!
I've been here for many concerts and absolutely love the venue. The only thing I'd say is the bathroom lines can get extremely long quickly. Other than that, parking is plentiful and access to the bars and seating inside is easy.
Excellent concert venue. We had lawn seats and used folding chairs. Nice accommodations and fair concessions. Pleasantly surprised.
Absolutely fantastic venue. We had lawn seats and they were perfect. The audio was great as well.
Really great local tennis courts. Clean, well maintained, and super close to my house. I’ve always enjoyed playing here during the day. Unfortunately, the biggest downside is the lighting. The lights automatically shut off at 9 PM, and unlike Boaz, there’s no button to turn them back on(there is they just have never been wired to work). Boaz stays lit until 11 PM and gives players control of the lights, which is a game changer, especially during summer evenings when all of my friends want to play after work. Until the lighting situation improves, I will still make the drive to Boaz even though it's farther. I’d love to see a lighting system upgrade here—these courts and the community deserve it!
