About

Community facility featuring a pool, hot tub and sauna.

The competitive lap pool typically maintains a temperature between 79-81°F. The warm-water leisure pool is usually kept between 86-88°F. The whirlpool spa maintains a temperature between 102-104°F.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This community pool receives mixed but generally positive reviews. Patrons praise the clean facility, respectful swimming environment, and ideal water temperature for laps, noting the absence of a strong chlorine smell as a sign of cleanliness. Amenities like a hot tub, sauna, diving board, slide, and a convenient bathing suit dryer are appreciated, as are the friendly staff and reasonable day pass fee. Many find the individual showers to be private and well-designed, despite some older complaints about drainage which have reportedly been addressed. However, significant drawbacks include limited and often inconvenient hours for recreational and lap swimming due to frequent swim competitions, making it difficult for those with regular work schedules. There have also been frustrating instances of arbitrary closures during published operating hours, and some lockers are noted to be finicky. The facility is also highly regarded for its swim lessons.

Nice community pool. Easy to reserve lanes. They try to avoid lane switches and three to a lane, which I have thus far avoided. Everyone is respectful of other swimmers, and there always seems to be a mix of abilities and ages. Water and deck the perfect temperature for laps - not disgustingly warm and not so cold you are regretting your decision. Pool never has a strong chlorine smell which is a sign that it is clean (that smell isn't chlorine but chloroamines, which form when the chlorine reacts with grossness - a clean and well balanced pool doesn't smell). The pool, pool deck, and locker rooms are all clean - despite looking a little old. The lockers are finicky, so it's best to just bring your stuff to the pool deck. Showers have double curtains so easy to change and get dressed in there if you prefer privacy. The front staff is always friendly. If in doubt about hours (sometimes google says it's closed but it isn't), just give them a call!

I'm not sure what the reviews complaining about the showers are about. This is the 4th community center/aquatic center I've been to in TN and VA and these were the nicest showers yet. Showers were individual stalls, yes they had drains, and they even had a small curtained dressing area preceding the shower to undress/dress and hang your bag and towel. Recreational swim hours were only 12-4 so that may be a problem if you work. But otherwise, pool was refreshingly cool (not cold), had a few lanes as well as an open area for the diving board and slide, and a large hot tub. There was also a sauna connected to the locker room. Day pass was $4.25 which is about average for the area and reasonable for all the amenities. The facility also had the small bathing suit dryer which is very convenient.

It’s cheap for a reason! It’s rarely available for lap swim due to all of the swim competitions. Sometimes I could not swim for 1-2 weeks. Unless you unemployed or retired the hours are not convenient. Secondly the showers are kind of gross due to the lack of floor drains. We were literally standing a puddle of water during the shower. Update 7/16/2023: the shower floor drain are much improved.

Arbitrarily closed on a Sunday during published open business hours. Arrived at 1:15pm on Sunday, March 27. The pool was supposed to open at 1:00pm. We had our whole family ready to enjoy the pool and my young kids were really excited to show me the progress they have been making. The doors were locked. Not sure why it is not open but it is frustrating. We will consider this when making future decisions about where to invest our time and money to enjoy a community pool.
