About

Public pool featuring a splash pad for kids, plus sprinklers and a shallow section.

Specific, up-to-date water temperature information for Mills Pool is not consistently published online. Public pools like Mills Pool are generally maintained at a comfortable swimming temperature, typically ranging from 78-82°F (25-28°C) during their operational season.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This public pool receives mixed reviews. Many praise it as a 'hidden gem' and a nice facility, particularly for young children who enjoy the small water slide, fountains, bubblers, and excellent shallow, beach-like entrances. The water temperature is often noted as great, and it's generally not crowded, especially compared to other local options. However, significant downsides include a lack of sufficient seating/chairs, frustrating restrictions on certain infant flotation devices (which some parents find unreasonable and a 'ruin' for their pool day, especially when juggling multiple young children), and scheduled 20-minute 'kid breaks' every afternoon that can be inconvenient for some families.

I took my daughter there for the first time today. She absolutely loved it!! It was a nice public pool. A hidden gem. I read reviews and thought it sounded great. I'm so glad we came. She loved the small water slide. The fountains and bubblers. Excellent shallow beach like entrance to the water in all the areas of the kids' splash pad. The water temperature was great as well.

I don’t mind the street parking so much. But for my first visit to this pool it felt like a disappointment in the terms of “kid friendly “. Yes the splash pad is nice and there’s shaded umbrellas but from the lack of seating to restrictions on infant flotation devices. It left me feeling a bit sour. My daughter is barely five months and the flotation device that she comfortable in and doesn’t freak out in is not allowed because they can’t see the bottom…. Almost ALL infant floats have some sort of seat or buckle to hold the infant with and instructions to stay near the child. The only kid of floating device that doesn’t have a bottom is an actual life jacket for boating. She’s 5 months. She hates those and won’t even stay in the water. I understand not leaving the baby alone and that life guards aren’t baby sitters but I was right there next to her talking to my daughter and after twenty minutes of being in the water a life guard comes up to me and says she can’t wear it. Seriously. It’s 95 degrees outside and every other pool I’ve gone to has allowed it as long as I was right there which I was. On top of having a toddler, it’s really hard to hold a baby in the pool while holding a three-year-old in arms reach especially considering in fact, that was the only floaty I had at the time seriously ruining my pool day. If I knew that they wouldn’t allow it I would’ve just gone to a different pool instead of spending my money here. So here’s my warning to all other moms with babies if you’re coming to this pool, make sure you have the proper flotation device or else they’ll tell you cant have it and you have to get out of the water.

It’s a nice little pool but just a heads up that they have no kid breaks for 20 minutes every day at 1 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm. It makes it easy to leave at those times for kids that struggle with transition but is super frustrating for kids if you arrive at 2:45z

This is a good pool, well everybody goes to Bryant Park you can usually get the pool basically to yourself if you when it opens and even if you go later it's never really crowded, they might not have all the stuff Bryant Park has but it's still really fun

Pool is great, but very little selection of chairs. I had to lay on the ground because there were no chairs available.
