Water park with slides and other attractions, plus a restroom, restaurant, and bar.
The pools at Paul Bunyan Water Park are heated for guest comfort throughout the year. While specific temperatures are not publicly advertised, indoor water parks typically maintain main pool temperatures in the range of 80-84°F (27-29°C), with hot tubs being considerably warmer.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Guests frequently report a variety of significant issues. Common complaints include excessively long check-in times and general waits for services like food and towels. Room maintenance can be poor, with non-functional amenities like blinds. The waterpark often receives negative feedback regarding its 'low budget' appearance, lifeguard attentiveness (on phones instead of enforcing rules), and poor water quality, with reports of high chlorine levels causing rashes and illness. Additionally, slides have been closed, limiting the already small waterpark experience, and food orders from the waterpark are frequently incorrect. Breakfast is a particular point of frustration, characterized by extremely long lines due to inadequate facilities (e.g., only one waffle maker) and unappetizing food. While one review, from a non-hotel guest, praised the waterpark's amenities (slides, hot tub) on a well-timed visit, the overall guest experience is largely negative, with many recommending alternative accommodations.

This place was a hot mess. Check in was supposed to be at 4 and they kept telling us a half hour and room was ready till 520 . Then after getting in room blinds and stuff didn't even work . The waterpark was low budget lifeguards don't even enforce rules just sit on there phones !! Go enjoy your vacation else where this place isn't worth it !
Be sure to call ahead of time if you're not staying at the hotel. To make sure that they are not passed their limits of how many people can be in the pool. When we when it was perfect timing the pool was amazing the water slides were great but the thing I enjoyed the most was the indoor outdoor hot tub.
The breakfast line is ridiculous. There is ONE waffle maker for the line. The waffles take 3 minutes each, and there were 20 people in line... The line is in the back part of the restaurant and not set up to have people get through. The food was terrible and not edible. Make plans to go out for breakfast, or if Holiday Inn is cheaper, stay over there. I would have given this place 4.5, but the breakfast is stupid and could be easily fixed.
Every time I have been to the water park here and order a pizza they have messed up the order in some way every time. This has been 3 different times. Over the span of 7 years.
Long wait times for everything food, rooms, towels. Both my kids ended up with rashes from the pool the level of chlorine was horrible and other kids in our group were coughing and getting sick. They closed the slide because I guess some kids weren’t putting the tubes back nice enough so the already small water park was even less fun. This was my second stay the first time was just as bad but I wanted to give them a second chance because they seemed short staffed the first time but definitely regret it now. I understand finding good help is hard but they might want to consider not booking all there rooms if the staff can’t handle it.
