What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Washington Athletic Club (WAC) is consistently lauded as a premier destination in Seattle, offering a superior blend of networking and fitness with an inclusive culture that fosters team sports. Members highly appreciate the well-maintained and extensive amenities, including diverse fitness facilities (pool, track, basketball court), co-working spaces, and various dining options, likening the dedicated member building to a 'playground.' For guests, the hotel experience is excellent, featuring efficient check-in, private connected rooms, reasonably priced accommodations, and convenient, secure parking. The staff, particularly the catering and events teams, are frequently praised as incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, making the WAC a highly recommended venue for weddings and special events. While minor points like the 21+ bar restriction, a spread-out gym layout, and a small pool were noted, these are generally outweighed by the overall comfort, safety felt within the club, and its prime downtown location, which provides good access to attractions and the airport.

Their isn’t a better combination of networking and fitness in the city of Seattle. Equinox doesn’t compare. The culture for playing team sports amongst member is both race and age inclusive. The amenities are well cared for and you feel cared for by your membership here. Perfect co working spaces and restaurants for any meeting type

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Washington Athletic Club as an affiliate club guest while in Seattle, and I wanted to share my experience. First off, the check-in process was a breeze—easy and efficient, which is always a plus after a long day of travel. We booked two connected rooms, which was a fantastic setup. They were linked by a private corridor that had a door requiring room key access, giving us a nice suite-like feel that added a bit of privacy to our stay. Parking was convenient too, with a secure lot just a block and a half away from the club. It was reassuring to know our vehicle was safe. I did find the bar to be a bit limiting for our group since it was 21 and up, which meant we had to look elsewhere for a more accommodating atmosphere. The cafeteria offered a variety of options, which was great for quick meals. It felt like a safe bet for us, especially after exploring the city. The pool, while small, was still good for getting in some exercise, and I appreciated having that option. The gym facilities were a bit of a mixed bag, though. They were spread out over different levels, and when I asked one of the gym receptionists for directions to the equipment, he wasn’t very helpful. It would have been nice to have clearer signage or more assistance. On the positive side, the track and basketball court were decent, even if they showed some signs of age. The hotel rooms themselves were reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise. I also loved the coffee bar in the lobby, where you could grab small snacks and even alcohol—definitely a nice touch. One thing to note is that while Seattle has always felt relatively safe in my past visits, this trip had a slightly sketchy vibe at times. I did feel a bit uneasy while walking in public areas, but I never felt unsafe in the hotel or the club itself, which was a relief. Overall, my stay at the Washington Athletic Club was enjoyable. It’s a solid choice for those looking for good accommodations in Seattle, especially if you appreciate a blend of convenience and comfort. Just be prepared for a bit of a walk to some attractions, but places like Nordstrom are only about a 10-minute stroll away. In summary, the Washington Athletic Club provided a good balance of comfort, safety, and convenience, making it a viable option for visitors to Seattle. While there were some minor drawbacks, such as the bar's age restriction and the gym's layout, the positives outweighed the negatives. The connected rooms and secure parking made for a pleasant stay, and I would consider returning in the future for another visit.

Love how organized they are. A whole building dedicated to members is like a playground! Make sure you spend the day here :) Parking for members are $18 for 6-8 hours and only a black away.

My husband and I got married at the Washington Athletic Club in May 2023. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional and took care of us and our wedding guests. The catering and events team were phenomenal (thank you Dave, Katie, and Jennifer!). We had a room block at the Inn at the WAC where the majority of our family and friends stayed during the wedding weekend. We loved the amenities and the proximity to downtown attractions and the airport. We can't recommend them enough for your wedding or special event.

Nice venue, professional staffs, good food. The portabello mushroom is amazing, and of course it's vegetarian. I was here for an engagement party and the host told me that the venue was free because they were members. We all enjoy the spacious and private arrangement. It can comfortably accommodate 120 people.
