What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Bluebell Aquatic Center is generally well-regarded as a family-friendly and affordable destination. Positive aspects include an Olympic-size indoor pool, fun inflatable days, and unique events like a catfish fishing contest. Many visitors praise the friendly employees and exceptionally attentive lifeguards, as well as the variety of amenities such as multiple slides, a playscape in the kiddie pool, food options, shaded picnic tables, and a playground area. Its proximity to the Blue Bell ice cream factory is also frequently mentioned as a bonus. However, significant criticisms exist, primarily concerning communication and the facility's size. One highly negative review highlighted major disappointment due to confusing website information regarding outdoor pool hours and a strict policy that prevented supervised children from using a separate, fenced playground while waiting for the pool to open. This incident led to a perception of poor value, especially after purchasing a summer pass. Additionally, some reviewers describe the pool as 'extremely tiny,' 'always overcrowded,' predominantly shallow, and better suited for smaller children, with insufficient space for older kids or adults.

Always a good time at Bluebell Aquatic Center. My kids and I prefer to go at 11am and swim in the Olympic size indoor pool. Our skin burns easily so the afternoon hours on the outdoor pool doesn't work for our family. We LOVE inflatable day when they're set up every few months. In October they release hundreds of catfish in the outdoor pool for a fun fishing contest for the kids. Very pleased with the cost, the friendliness of the employees and the pool is well tended to.
Small but my kids enjoy it. Affordable to get in.
Such a fun place to bring my kids! We went to visit the Blue Bell factory with my kids and went to Aquatic center after. Super impressed by the lifeguards!!! Many places I have been we have not seen lifeguards that attentive..these were definitely great at their job!!
2 Star because of major disappointment. I'm complaining today because we paid $200 for a summer pass and had to leave due to their poor communication, poor advertising online, and at the facility, about 5 different families dealt with and felt the same way as us. When you look at the website its confusing, the very top shows clear as day pool hours are delayed, but the hours are open from 11am-5pm. Later finding out upon arrival they don't open the OUTSIDE pool, (the more popular pool during summer) doesn't open until 12:30... only being an about an hour from opening, our family and 4 others all thought the same thing, it opened at 11 and figured we would just let the kids go play in the park beside the pool. This park is off to the side and completely fenced separate from the pool. All the kids were having a great time, well behaved and staying inside the gates of the park, not going to the pool side, then the lifeguards come over to kick us out. They explained they didn't want the kids to go play in the pool b4 opening.. This is what pushed the last button, I know its not their fault, not mad at them, just doing as told im sure, but where in the facility was this in writing they couldn't play in there and not go in the pool as we waited???. We just paid $200 and couldn't even play in the park as we waited during open hours, none of the kids even stepped foot outside of the gates to the pool side, every single kid was adult supervised to not allow that to happen. This is a pathetic set of rules. Obviously we will return for the kids so they can play, but management should really look into updating their website so there's no confusion and allowing kids to play in the playground without entering the pool even if it's outside of pool hours. ... I haven't even mentioned how proud this place is to charge what they charge and only allow certain things and offer certain things. The pool is extremely tiny and always overcrowded, it accommodates smaller children only and doesn't consider older children. The majority of the pool is shallow, hardly any space for the bigger kids to play or adults to relax. It's a shame this is our only family pool option in Brenham.
Pool is great family spot! Had multiple slides including huge looped water Slide. Life guards, playscape in the kiddie pool, snacks, drinks, food, ice cream. Lots of shaded picnic tables. Playground area. It's cheap and has tons of programs for the kiddos. Hands down the best swimming pool. Oh and the Blue Bell ice cream factory is across the street, you can tour and eat from a variety of your favorite flavors!
