Relaxed park boasting a playground and a kid-friendly swimming pool, plus lifeguards.
Specific and consistent temperature information for the pools at Franklin Park Pool is not readily available. As a public outdoor facility, pool temperatures typically fluctuate based on ambient weather conditions, with most such pools generally unheated or only minimally heated by solar gain.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Franklin Park Pool receives mixed reviews, generally praised as an affordable, family-friendly local public pool, especially for kids. Reviewers appreciate the friendly staff and the ability to bring their own food and drinks, with an entry fee of $2 per person. However, significant criticisms include poorly posted and unannounced changes to hours of operation, perceived overzealous and poorly managed thunder delay policies (leading to unnecessary closures and questioning staff attentiveness), and major concerns about bathroom cleanliness (e.g., feces on the floor, lack of toilet paper). Several patrons also reported poor customer service, particularly when denied refunds after pool closures prevented children from swimming.

Very good local public pool the our grandchildren love franklin park pool and the staff are very friendly thank you
I will never go back there. A little rumble of thunder , prolly miles away and they call a 30 minute delay. Then you see the lifeguards poolside visiting with friends. Makes you wonder if thunder was really heard. Many people there didn’t hear it. Should be an adult on staff along with the teens. Maybe also radar could be watched rather than relying on just human hearing.
I'm revising my review because their hours of operation are not well posted on either the building or on the website. They were open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday through the summer, but then without notice closed during the week. There are no signs posted nor did the lifeguards say anything. Great pool, especially for kids!
A great place for family fun that is AFFORDABLE! They allow you to bring in your own food and drinks but often can purchase some basic snacks and drinks. Definitely bring small bills or a card to pay your entry of $2 a person.
This place was awful. The bathrooms were disgusting. There were feces on floor and no toilet paper. Kids didn't even get to swim before they called everyone out of the pool for "thunder" noise. When we asked for our money back we were told no by both the manager on duty and the"owner" over the phone. Kids never even got their feet wet. I do not recommend this nasty place where they seriously lack in customer service and children's health. Definitely not a place for kids
