Two-pool aquatic center featuring adult lessons, children's swimming classes and water aerobics.
The competition pool is maintained at a temperature of 79-80 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 26.1-26.7 degrees Celsius). The warm-up/therapy pool is kept significantly warmer, typically between 88-90 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 31.1-32.2 degrees Celsius).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility receives mixed reviews. Many praise the excellent, customized swim lessons, noting the low instructor-to-student ratio and the dedication of specific staff members. Guests also appreciate the two pools, various water aerobics classes, and flexible pass options, with some finding the facility clean and uncrowded during their visit. However, significant concerns exist regarding lap lane availability, as lanes are frequently occupied by special interest groups or non-lap activities, with lifeguards reportedly not enforcing rules. Hygiene is also a recurring issue, with complaints about long hair and debris in pools, the cleanliness of pool floors, and doubts about bathroom upkeep. Some reviewers criticize staff for being unhelpful or arrogant, and express frustration over the lack of accessible lap lanes for adult general swimming or rehabilitation, leading to questions about the fair use of tax funding.

Even if you check the posted schedule of lap lane availability online, the therapy pool lap lanes might be in use by some special interest group when you arrive. Also, on three different occasions, I have arrived to lap swim in the therapy pool at a designated time and found family groups or groups of children hanging on the lane ropes or clogging the 3 lap lanes with non-lap activities, and the life guards do nothing to clear any of the lanes. Also, for hygienic reasons, persons with hair longer than 4 inches should wear swim caps. Long hair floats in the pool and pieces of fake braids fall out and line the pool floor. The bathrooms are cleaned by life guards, so how clean do you think those are?
Liked it has 2 pools and offer several water aerobic classes during the day. Facility was clean but the floor of the pools did not look clean.
Best CUSTOMIZED swim lessons in the Upstate! I am taking swim lessons as "mature" student at 43yo. I am also taking my 11yo nephew. The amount of care and attention provided is UNMATCHED. The instructor to student ratio is 1:1 or 1:2. Look at how Hayden gives one-on-one instruction to my nephew. Don't sleep on this sign yourself up and your youngins. This place has the secret swim sauce! Shout out to Bryant Dover who helps organize the swim classes.
I only hope my taxes dollars don't fund this place! You got swim teams 👍 you got children learning wonderful, weird hours ok, cut costs by running it by high school staff sure if you must, but not one lane available for an adult to share with any other adult to swim or rehab for 30 minutes? Then you got the arrogant little staff that can't think beyond their Snapchat accounts come on. If all tax payers can't have some equal rights for swimming throughout the day then they ought to pull the funding and let it go under.
Loved using this facility over the Holidays while visiting family. The pools were clean and it was never too crowded. The staff are fantastic, and I really appreciated the flexible three day pass available. It was perfect for our seasonal needs.
