What are people saying (AI review summary)? The gym receives mixed feedback. Many members commend the friendly and helpful staff, the owner Angela's compassionate approach, and the family-like atmosphere. Positive aspects include a wide variety of excellent classes, good coaches, and a range of fitness equipment, along with praised customer service and a wonderful daycare program. However, significant concerns are raised regarding facility maintenance and cleanliness, especially in the locker rooms, which are often described as repulsive, unsanitary, and lacking basic amenities like towels. Multiple reviews highlight broken or worn-out equipment (including cardio machines, weightlifting areas, steam rooms, and locker room fixtures), with a perceived lack of investment in repairs. The pricing is contentious, with guest passes deemed high and some feeling the overall membership cost is excessive given the facility's condition, particularly if not frequently attending classes. Some suggest the gym may be leveraging its position as the sole option in the area.

An amazing facility one of the best Ive been too. They have everything here and pricing is so reasonable. Great coaches, workouts and staff. Angela owner has a tremendous heart for people too, helped me when I needed it most, an amazing person. This place treats you like family.
I’m a regular quest of the club and visit a few times a year as my family lives on the island. I pay for a quest pass, which is a little high ($25) for a day, but the front desk employees were very nice and quick. The equipment was good and clean, some minor ripped stuff. Plus it’s a little cramped, especially when busy. Too many pieces of weight lifting equipment in the 2 rooms. The locker rooms are fair but no towels is a bummer. The cardio room is ok, but the equipment is worn. Overall they owners need to invest in a some new equipment and it would be a great up date. If I lived here I would join this gym.
Outstanding customer service and facilities. The Club has a wide variety of great classes and fitness equipment. The staff members are very helpful and friendly, and the daycare program is wonderful. They have reasonably priced plans for both residents and visitors. The website is informative, and the staff will go out of their way to answer membership questions. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great gym on St. Simons and an environment where you’re treated like family.
Went for a day as I’m moving to st Simon’s soon. Gym and equipment isn’t bad, but locker room was repulsive. I gagged when I walked in the steamroom and there was muddy water sitting all over the locker room floors. Also, no towels. A bit more attention to the cleanliness of this place and a more functional steamroom and I would consider joining.
The price does not equate to the what you should receive. 1.) no towels available 2.) broken equipment and or sauna steam room is out of order, and things are just broken all around with no plans to fix them (men’s locker room has a floor ripped up for months, steam room spigot is loose and broken from the wall, along with broken lockers and many other small issues where you see they don’t care to fix it for membership). 3.) lack of water… I have never been to a gym with such a lack of access to water All around it has good amenities but it is a $60/month gym max if you aren’t using it for classes. The classes are really great; if you do the classes often the $150/month is not a terrible deal as they are unlimited. They are taking advantage of being the only gym in the area; it will come to an end quickly if another gym moves into town… with the area growing rapidly mgmt should begin to plan for competition bc they will lose 50% of membership the moment another good gym moves in.
