What are people saying (AI review summary)? Hard'ack Pool receives mixed reviews. Many praise it as an amazing year-round resource, particularly in winter, highlighting excellent and attentive staff, clean facilities, and its suitability for birthday parties. The dome is noted for keeping the environment comfortable. However, significant criticisms include inconsistent water temperatures, often reported in the upper 70s despite an advertised 82 degrees, which many find too cold. The pricing is considered high for the experience, and some find the rules overly restrictive, inconsistently enforced by lifeguards, and impacting the enjoyment, especially for children.

An amazing resource for St. Albans and surrounding communities. We love to treat ourselves to a pool day in the depths of Vermont winter! Staff is excellent, the facilities are always clean and yes, the dome really does keep things comfortable in the winter!
Great pool, so happy it's available year round! Nice locker room, and two showers. My only issue, it's not always 82 degrees despite what they tell you. I brought a pool thermometer several times, it registered in the upper 70's. Too cold for me!
We recently hosted my 10 year old’s birthday party at Hard’ack Pool and can’t express how amazing coach Rodney and are staff were!!! They made sure the kids were well taken care of, facility was very safe and they worked efficiently to make the experience extraordinary! I would recommend anyone who is celebrating a winter birthday to book the pool!!!!
2 adults and 2 children both under 4 years old is $64 to swim in ice cold water. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Theme park pricing in water so cold we had to leave in under a hour.
Not an enjoyable experience. This is the most restrictive community pool we’ve ever been to. There are unreasonable rules made up by life guards that seem to change with each lifeguard rotation throughout the day. I’ve never seen a 12 year old ask to leave a pool early. For the price, it’s also unfortunate that kids are banned from the kid swimming area during “adult swim” - where they were either zero adults in the water or no adults in the kid splash area. Just weird. We’ll be swimming in Essex next time.
