Indoor aquatic center with a large pool, diving boards, a hot tub, and a kiddie pool, plus a gym.
The lap pool at the Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center is typically maintained at approximately 80-82°F (26.7-27.8°C). The leisure pool is usually kept warmer, around 84-86°F (28.9-30°C), while the therapy pool is maintained at a comfortable 92-94°F (33.3-34.4°C). The hot tub operates at a higher temperature, generally between 102-104°F (38.9-40°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the aquatic center are mixed, highlighting both positive aspects and significant concerns. On the positive side, the facility is appreciated for its good size, family amenities, and a variety of pools including a large adult pool, a separate children's pool, and a rehabilitation pool. However, several issues are raised. There was a complaint about a rude elderly lifeguard who allegedly mistreated a child, contrasting with generally polite staff. The center is not recommended for children aged 6-15, as their options are limited primarily to the lap pool, leading to dissatisfaction for visiting families. Another downside mentioned is the mandatory 15-minute hourly breaks for children, which can lead to them getting cold or bored. A major concern is the poor air quality, attributed to an unrepaired HVAC system due to budget constraints, which has led some patrons to state they will not return.

There is a mean and nasty skinny elderly man that's a lifeguard there. The staff was polite except him. The way he spoke to my son when he thought no one was looking was reprehensible. Once confronted, he backpeddled like a coward. My son wasn't aware it was time for adult swim( where minors have to get out). That man needs to go sit down somewhere and retire. Everyone isn't a "kid person". If you work around kids, you can't objectify them . They have rights to be treated with respect just like adults.
Not a good option if you have kids between 6-15. Only a little kid pool. My 12 and 15 could only hang out in the lap pool. Nice pool but only for 18 and older. Hated wasting money here specially when visiting from out of town. Kids lasted not even 30 minutes.
Good size facilities with some amenities to fit the needs of a family. They do take a break every hour for 15 minutes for the kids to take a break, this is one of the downsides that I don't like because it's a solid 15 minutes of the kids getting cold again or bored while waiting.
Very happy that your Aquatic Center offers a wonderful large adult pool. And also separate Children's pool and rehabilitation pool.
Beautiful place, but the air quality will take your breath away. I was told repairing the hvac system wasn't in the budget. I will never go back
