What are people saying (AI review summary)? This pool elicits mixed reviews, with some visitors praising its large size, cleanliness, and family-friendly atmosphere, including a kiddie area and adjacent playground. Many appreciate that it's rarely overcrowded and find the staff generally kind and friendly, especially for swimming lessons. However, significant concerns were raised regarding staff behavior, including an intimidating interaction that a parent feared was racially motivated, and dismissive attitudes from lifeguards. There were also complaints about inconsistent pool operations, specifically an unannounced early closure for a private event, which led to frustration and disappointment for visitors who had traveled a considerable distance.
Reviews
Yesterday, my son went to this pool with his grandfather and sister. They were the last to leave around 5:00 pm, and staff were clearly waiting to close. In the locker room, one staff member gave my son such a dark, intimidating look that he felt the urge to grab his things and run. I understand there are high school students working here, but that’s no excuse… children should always feel safe and welcome. I believe this interaction may have been racially motivated, which is unacceptable. I hope management addresses this so no other child has to experience the same.
Very large pool good for events. Has plenty of seating for family and children
The youg men and young women are very kind. Pool is very nice and clean.
I had to give myself a day before leaving a review. I’m visiting from out of town caring for my nephew and nieces. I saw the pool Hours were till 6p Saturday night. My nieces all had events to go to but my nephew didn’t. He really wanted to go swimming. We prepared ourselves like everyone does, swimwear-tanning lotion-drinks-towels and a 45 minute drive there. Only to be greeted by a woman who was walking away stating “they’re not going to let you in”. A “Ken” like lifeguard advised my nephew and I that we they were closing early for a party. I expressed we just drove 45 minutes, and he replied “sorry about that” while other lifeguards smiled as we left. Not sure what kind of community pool this is that has hours till 6p but closes as 445p for a party. My niece said she had a party there and it wasn’t closed to others. To explain to an 8 year old who was so hyped up to just pay $10 to swim for an hour and 15 minutes to be turned away. He’s still upset 24 hours later, and was equally upset about the lifeguards attitude. I rarely give bad reviews, but this pool left a bad taste in my mouth, and I’m pretty disappointed. So much for community.
My children take swimming lessons here and we come several times a week. The staff is friendly and it's rarely overcrowded so it's a wonderful pool to take the family. The kiddie area has a giant mushroom fountain the kids can run through. Plus there is a nice playground right next to the pool.
