About

Community pool with a waterslide, diving boards and concessions.

Specific pool temperatures for the Anamosa Aquatic Center are not consistently published or readily available online. As a public outdoor facility, the water temperature is generally maintained at a comfortable level, often influenced by ambient weather conditions, or minimally heated.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? Patrons have mixed feelings about the pool. Many families and children enjoy their visits, often praising the attentive lifeguards and the decent prices and selection at the concession stand, despite some missing past food items. However, a primary and consistent criticism is the urgent need for significant upgrades and modernization, as facilities are often perceived as small, with changing areas needing attention, and the toddler pool frequently unavailable. Other recurring issues include inconsistent pool cleanliness (e.g., bugs, leaves), a limited night swim schedule, and occasional non-operational slides. While some noted improved cleanliness in the 2022 season, there's a strong desire for greater investment to match the standards of other local community pools.

My daughter loves coming here to swim and I enjoy it too. I can only give three stars because sometimes the pool is not clean there's too many bugs and leaves floating around and they change the schedule for night swims to where it's not every night which limits the opportunity we have to go swimming. They have a toddler area that is never open and i don't know why. They have a concession stand which has decent prices and a nice selection. I wish they had hot dogs, hamburgers and stuff like that but they got rid of that over the past couple years. Sometimes the slide isn't operating I think they may have fixed that issue though. They have plenty of lifeguards on duty that take their job seriously and I like that.

It's amazing how pretty a picture can make something look. The 2022 summer season was not the worst I've seen. The pool was kept cleaner than usual, the crowds were a little smaller than usual, but the lifeguards and the guy in charge it were above par. For all the economic development going on in this County you'd think a little bit could be tossed to upgrade our swimming pool to the standards of Monticello or Tipton, instead of budgeting over a million for 3 ft wide sidewalk across the county.

Not a bad pool by any means . The lifeguards were nice . The only issue is I wish this pool would get an upgrade. I think this pool desperately needs it . It's a little pool , the changing area needs some work , and I think they need a kid/ toddler pool ( one that works anyways ) . Still for all that it's not a bad pool , my kids sure seem to like it . I think the concessions area could use a little work as well . The food is ok and so are the prices , but could use a little work .

Back 5 years ago I came to this pool on the water slide, some female lifeguard told me to sit out for 5 mins for something I did not do. Well I left instead very unhappy. Pool really needs to be upgraded a little bit bigger I say. I will never come back to this location I don't recommend this place to anyone go to the Monticello pool or Marion pool better ppl better lifeguards and friendly atmosphere
