Public swimming pool boasting diving boards, a water slide and a mushroom-shaped fountain.
Specific, maintained pool temperatures for Lytle Pool are not publicly available. As a seasonal outdoor facility, its water temperature typically fluctuates with ambient weather conditions and is generally not heated to a consistent, advertised degree.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The park receives mixed reviews. Positively, the western side is appreciated for its tennis courts, playgrounds, and walking paths. The pool is a major highlight, consistently praised for its ample space, zero-entry feature for children, and the professionalism and attentiveness of its lifeguards. However, several significant concerns were raised: the farmers market is noted for selling clothes and jewelry rather than produce. Accessibility is a critical issue, particularly on the eastern side, with concrete bumps at pavilions and walking paths difficult to navigate for wheelchairs. There are also reports of cars driving the wrong way through the entrance. A severe negative incident involved racial and homophobic harassment, where the victims were reportedly reprimanded instead of the aggressors, alongside a lack of senior or kids' discounts. Furthermore, the facility closes prematurely in the season (August 10th), and past amenities like a basketball court and a large water fountain are missed.
Reviews
The western side of the park is nice with tennis courts, tons of playground for kids, and plenty of walking paths. The farmers market is wierd. All I saw was people selling clothes and jewelry. Where's the vegetable sellers? The pavilions at the eastern park have 2-3inch concrete bump and are not handicapped accessible. As are the walking paths, it is hard to get on and off the sidewalk in wheelchair. They used to have a basketball court and a gaint water fountain. So many cars drive out the wrong way through the entrance.
Me and my husband were called racial and homophobic things. Instead of the kids getting in trouble me and my husband did. DONT COME HEAR UNLESS YOU WANT THE SAME TO BE SAID TO YOU. Plus no senior discount or discount on kids. Ridiculous.
Closed for the season August 10th. The start of the hottest month of the year…
We always love the pool. Lots of room for everyone. The zero entry in the best for the little people! The life guards are wonderful. I've seen them jump to action to save a child more than once.
