About

The Red Bank Swimming Pool, located at 3620 Tom Weathers Dr, Red Bank, TN, is a public outdoor municipal pool serving the Red Bank community. It typically offers a large main swimming area and often a separate children's splash pad or wading pool, operating seasonally during the summer months as a popular family-friendly recreational spot.

As a public outdoor facility, the Red Bank Swimming Pool is typically unheated. Specific temperature data for the pool water is not regularly published, and its temperature naturally fluctuates based on ambient weather conditions, sunlight exposure, and air temperature during its operational season.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for the swimming pool present a mixed picture. Many patrons appreciate the affordable daily entry fee of $4 and the family membership option, with some holding fond memories of visiting since childhood, praising it as a great, clean, and usually quiet place to swim with wonderfully warm water on occasion. However, recent experiences highlight significant downsides. Several visitors reported severe cleanliness issues, describing the pool and deck as "absolutely filthy" with debris, dirt, leaves, Band-Aids, and stained diving boards, observed across multiple visits. Furthermore, staff behavior is a major concern, with complaints about rude lifeguards who are described as eye-rolling, yelling at children, and even faking thunder to encourage patrons to leave. A specific incident detailed extremely poor customer service from an older male staff member (assumed manager) who initially denied entry unnecessarily while on a personal phone call, ignored a customer, and treated a paying guest with disrespect. These issues, particularly the poor cleanliness and unprofessional staff conduct, are cited as significantly detracting from the experience for families, despite the pool's potential.

Love the fact it only cost $4 for each day or I can buy a family membership for 5 people for $200. I have been coming here since I was a kid and now I take my 2 kids here.

We used to love this pool, but the downsides have become overwhelming! The pool was absolutely filthy on 2 different visits we made this week. There was debris all over the pool deck, in addition to the bottom of the pool swirling with dirt, leaves, and Band-Aids. The diving boards are covered in black stains. We were hopeful it was just the one time, but when we returned 2 days later, it was actually worse. There are a handful of kind lifeguards, however there are a few that are absolutely atrocious. Eye rolling, and yelling at children is not in your job description. Neither is "pretending" to hear thunder and loudly discussing how you just wish everyone would leave. This place has so much potential to offer a fun summertime experience for a fair price, but the rude employees in addition to the filthy conditions have ruined it for our family. Hopeful they hire some lifeguards that actually want to be at work next summer. Paying guests aren't supposed to be treated like burdens. Do better!

I visited red bank pool on 06/23/2024 around 2:45 pm. As I pulled in I took the parking spot of a lady and gentlemen that was leaving. Once parked I walked up to enter the pool. A black older man on the phone (his personal) told me the pool was full. I said even with the two people that just left. He said yes. I was by myself trying to enjoy a pool day. I walked away for a second because it made me upset that the first thing he said to me was we are full. Not “how many people is there today” or “it was full a few minutes ago let me go check” etc. I called my boyfriend he told me to go ask how many more people have to leave for me to get in. So I did and the black man completely ignored me and I heard him tell this young white boy with a beard to tell me I can come in now. No one left in between the 2 minutes I called my boyfriend. The old black man that I assume is the manager, because he has terrible customer service and was twice the age as the life guards, then went into the little office beside concessions. While I paid to enter. I asked the young boy what was the confusion on why I could not enter. He said that he may have not seen them leave. I just said okay and went on about my day. I only gave this pool a 1 star because the young boy was nice to me. However the older manager needs to get his act together. 1. Talking to a customer while on the phone is rude. 2. Deterring way a paying customer because he lacked the knowledge of simply checking if anyone had left. Shameful. 3. Last but not least yes he could be having a bad day but don’t take it out on others. If you don’t like your job and can’t do it happily QUIT.
