I visited for the first time as an adult with 3 children and it was a better experience than I expected. The pool is HUGE. They have life guards at every side, which is great for adults with multiple children. The pool is so fun! Even for adults. The kiddie pool had a splash pad area and a poolish vibe on the other side so smaller kids can swim. They have a nice amount of sitting chairs as well. They also have a concession stand with snacks and drinks. They charge $9 per person if you are not a lake station resident. I believe residents are only $5 perperson. It doesn’t matter if it’s a small child they still charge $9. It was clean and the life guards were kind and helpful! We will be back
My daughter had my grandsons birthday party in May there. We rented the big pavilion. Had to clean it because there was leaves and beer cans everywhere. We set up for the party, went to plug in the grill we brought and the bounce houses just to realize we had no power. Tried contact everyone at the park district just to get forwarded to voicemail every time. Finally a family member knew how to contact the lady in the office personally and she didn't know what was wrong. We had to take down all decorations, move to a much smaller pavilion that had power and try to set up everything all over which took a couple hours. Finally was told my daughter would get a refund on half the rental and now they are saying they won't issue it. The lady claims her boss won't approve but also says there's no one we can contact. Well which is it, you have a boss or you dont? Very unprofessional and ignorant also.
We booked a party in April paid 360 of the 400 up front. 4 day before our party, I received a text reminder of the remaining balance, responded that I will be there the day the day before the party to pay. Called the day before the party to drop off money, the “manager” in the front said I called in and cancelled. After a little investigating on our own, we found out Nativity school had there Hobart pool party cancelled so they cancelled our and gave it them. The lady lied to my face, asked me to leave, and then called and apologized. My son’s party of 60 is cancelled the day before, we’ve already paid for food and decorations.
This place is peaceful... Pickleball playing in the mornings.. Clean port a pottys everywhere.. Great place around the board
I have to say that the pool was super nasty. There was so many bugs. There was hair pieces at the bottom. Rocks. Didn't look like they netted for months. There was so many employees that pool shouldn't be that dirty!!
