What are people saying (AI review summary)? This water park is generally praised for being a fun, affordable, and well-maintained facility with a variety of attractions including a water slide, diving board, lazy river, and pool area. Many visitors find it a great value, enjoy the experience, and are willing to travel to visit. The food and snack options are noted for being impressive and super affordable, though one minor issue with cold cheese was mentioned. A significant and recurring concern, however, revolves around lifeguard attentiveness and safety. Multiple reviews highlight instances where lifeguards were perceived as not enforcing safety protocols, being distracted (flirting or disassociating), or failing to intervene in potentially dangerous situations, leading to safety concerns, especially regarding children on slides and in the pool area.

We were really impressed by the quality of the water park. The lifeguard were attentive and kind, and the facilities were very well maintained. We didn’t purchase any snack but the food items we observed that others had were impressive for a little pool such as this one. We drove from Portales, and we are looking forward to our next visit.

The kids love this place. Awesome swimming day memories and worth leaving behind New Mexico for a day to play in Texas.

We went there today and had a great time! The only issue I had was the lifeguards were not doing there job at keeping kids safe. You had kids going down the slide literally right after each other and not telling them to wait till the other person going down is out of the way! Life guards are too keep the order. You would have thought that on the slide that the lifeguard would tell the kids when it is clear to go down the slide. So if you go there be aware that the lifeguards are not really paying attention to safety protocols!

🌊🛝🏊‍♀️water slide, diving board, lazy river, and pool area available. 🌭🍧🥤🍫 Super affordable snowcones, hotdogs, chili cheese dogs, chips, hot cheetos with cheese, nachos, candy, chocolate, and soft drinks! Just make sure if you get cheese on your hot cheetos, it isn't after they change the cheese. Mine was freezing cold.🥴 🏊‍♂️🏊Plenty of lifeguards, but some are either flirting with people at the pool or disassociating. There was a kid coming down from the slide (3-4 years old), with floaties who got caught on the rope, parent nowhere around, thankfully my husband and I were close enough to move the rope and get him to his parent cause the lifeguard didn't do anything.
