What are people saying (AI review summary)? Olympia Water Park in Salinas is generally reviewed as a fun and kid-friendly destination, suitable for all ages, including older adults, and a good place to cool off during a heatwave. It boasts multiple water slides, including thrilling two-person rides like "The Bowl," "La Cueva" (The Cave), and "Toro Negro," as well as single-person slides. The park also features a gigantic wave pool, numerous kiddie pools and rides, various food, ice cream, and refreshment stands, and lockers. It is noted for being clean and well-maintained. The park operates Tuesday to Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM, with admission prices at $5 for parking, $20 for kids, and $25 for adults, which includes access to all areas, including a section dedicated to the history of Olympic medalists from PR. The most common criticism is the significant wait times, often ranging from 30 minutes to an hour for popular water slides, which some reviewers felt "cuts the fun in half." Limited seating is also a drawback, with recommendations to arrive early for good spots. Despite the waits, many agree the "terrifyingly entertaining" rides are ultimately "worth the wait."

Hi, this past Wednesday my kids and I went to Olympia Water Park in Salinas. I must say, I wasn't expecting the long lines to go in and also more long lines to go on the water slides. But, all in all, it was fun and the water slides were great! There are 3 water slides where 2 people can sit together: One is called The Bowl which is like a gigantic funnel. I really loved this one! The next one is called La Cueva or The Cave which is a black tunnel of crazy swirls and zig zags and very fast, for me it was super scary. The last one is called Toro Negro which is like The Cave but all you see inside the tunnel is blue colors and extremely fast also. They also have two other water slides but for one person. One is an open water slide and the other one is enclosed. My son loved these! But the downside of these is the long wait. We waited for approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour for all the water slides. But truly, worth the wait. Another downside is that there are few places to sit so you have to be the firsts to go in to get the best spots. This water park also has a gigantic wave pool. There are also many kiddie pools and rides for younger children. There are many food stations that offer pizza, nuggets, fried chicken and other food options. There are also a couple of ice cream and refreshment stands. The park also has lockers, located in the front of the park entrance and in the lobby area. The park opens at 10:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m. They open from Tuesday to Sunday. To summarize, it was a good water park to refresh yourself from the heatwave but I found that the long lines and the amount of time you spend waiting in line cuts the fun in half. But, like I said, it's worth the wait because the rides are terrifyingly entertaining!

The park has 2 sections, the day i visited the wait times for the slides were near an hour. Not many slide options. Great for kids.

Great place for kids and older adults as well. The place was clean and well maintained. We needed more time to look at the Museum and the other side of the water park but overall great.

Fun experience, kid friendly and a lot of fun! Parking was $5, and $20 for kids and $25 for adults. That includes all of the areas in the park.
