Pool temperatures at the Dr. Robert W. Browne Aquatic Center are typically varied to accommodate different activities. The competition or lap pool is generally maintained at a cooler temperature, often around 78-82°F (25.5-27.8°C), suitable for active swimming. The leisure or therapy pools are usually kept warmer, typically in the range of 86-90°F (30-32.2°C), providing a comfortable environment for relaxation and therapeutic uses. A hot tub, if present, would be significantly warmer, usually between 100-104°F (37.8-40°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The aquatic center receives mixed reviews, often praised for its spacious and safe environment with lifeguards on duty, family-friendly atmosphere, and good facilities including warm and cool pools, diving boards, a therapy pool for young kids, showers, and lockers. Day pass prices are considered reasonable, and swim classes are well-regarded. However, significant concerns are raised about staff professionalism, particularly the receptionists, who are frequently described as rude, unhelpful, and failing to return calls. There are also reports of lifeguards being inattentive (flirting) and disrespectful (mocking patrons), as well as a general complaint about staff rushing patrons without cause. Despite some positive experiences, issues with staff attitude and customer service are a recurring negative theme.

Aquatic center is very spacious and safe to use with lifeguard on duty at all times. Fun for family and open to the public. Includes showers, lockers, restrooms and lounging areas. Warm water pool and a cool water pool next to it that includes a diving board and other fun aquatic activities. Come check it out for the summer!
When ppl pay full price for service and are rushed is not okay at all..I will never go here again after today. When I walked in the door it was drama right away with receptionist having to call lifeguards and tell them something "literally drama".. Lifeguards flirt more than they watch the pool.lifegaurds was making fun of ppl walking in elderly disabled ppl today laughing!..When you pay to use the facility and it's not closing do NOT RUSH PPL you do not know if they have medical issues /mental issues and that's why they can't go faster than other's.. IF THE FACILITY ISN'T CLOSING WHY RUSH SOMEONE? BECAUSE YOU THINK YOUR SOMEONE SPECIAL?.. Janitor or who ever he was by the big pool wearing Some sort of Coldwater shirt wearing glasses and reseading hair line wanting to run show of everything.. Running things by his poor personality and not what is right..ppl that work here need to humble themselves and do trainings..Some just need a new personality a good one not the one they all had today..Me andy family will never go here again and we use to go here all of the time.. Receptionist has been rude on multiple occasions on phone calls and they never return calls..
Staff was super helpful getting us pointed in the right direction. Two life guards were on duty and we're actively enforcing rules for safety while using the pools. The family changing area was clean and lockers were available for secure storage while enjoying the pool. Day passes for two adults, a 4 y/o and a 2 y/o was $18. Very reasonable considering how nice the center is. Will be going back.
Great experience, therapy pool is great for very young kids. Friendly staff and lifeguards, usually pretty quiet unless there is an activity going on. The parent child swim classes are the only ones we have done so far, great experience, instructor knows her job well. Overall a highlight for us and the kids.
Great local facility to swim in Coldwater, MI. Folks at the reception desk could be politer. Feel like a nuisance every time.
