What are people saying (AI review summary)? This recreation center receives mixed to negative reviews, with significant criticism directed at staff conduct and facility conditions. Patrons frequently report issues with unhelpful, rude, and inattentive staff, including lifeguards observed using phones and a 'power-tripping' manager. Operational complaints include inaccurate advertised hours, limited 'open swim' times, and a policy requiring adults to pay to watch children without providing basic amenities like tables or refunds. Facility maintenance is also a concern, with reports of broken elements on the splash pad and a 'broken' kids' pool left with water and no signage, raising safety issues. While it is noted to be suitable for young children due to its splash pad and kiddie pool, or for lap swimming, it is not recommended for larger families, groups, or teenagers due to limited space and a lack of diving areas (being less than 6 feet deep). Some users also experienced staff rushing them out before official closing times.

Worst pool. Yet another castle rock rec center owned place that makes you pay to sit and watch your children as an adult. Not only that, but where are the tables? When I said I want my money back, after leaving 5 min after seeing there were no tables, I was told no money back. Right, of course not with castle rock. But where are the tables, it’s a lap pool there are none. Where does it say it’s a lap pool?
Nice, low key pool but hours are not as advertised. "Open swim" (meaning open to the public) is ONLY from 10:30am-2:30pm. Decent kids area with splash pad and kiddie pool w/ Nemo slide. Recommend if you have little ones or are looking to swim laps - would not be great for large families, groups, or teenagers - since there is very little room in the actual pool.
Went with my boyfriend to swim after a hike. Pool closed at 6pm but an hour earlier we were being stared at for an hour like they wanted us to get out. We go out of the pool 30 minutes until close to dry for a second and the people working started dumping cleaner in immediately. As if they were waiting for us to get out of the water for a split sec to dump pool cleaner so we couldn’t get back in. We also noticed all 3 of the teens leave before 6pm. Maybe change your hours since your workers are lazy.
The splash pad is nice (lots is broken), but the kids pool is "broken" or the staff didn't feel like watching it. It does have water in it and no signage which does seem dangerous sing it isnt manned for a broken pool. The staff seemed it be inconvenienced by the patrons. Their snaps and other apps on their phones seemed more important. The staff was our big issue. The brah in charge seemed to be power tripping because he had "manager" on his shirt. For 4 life guards on duty, 3 were looking at their phones. 1 was looking at the water. Back to the kids pool, it should he drained for safety reasons if it's not safe. Patrons should also be informed it doesn't work. Many things on the splash pad are broken. I think a "sorry the kids pool is broken" would have gone a long way over just being told "no" by the brah in charge after asking if it was opened. A little human kindness goes a long way.
I love taking my kids here. There is a little kid pool and a little water park for kids to splash as well as a decent size pool. Only downside is there is no diving area as the pool is less than 6ft deep at its deepest point. There are lifeguards on duty was well which is nice.
