What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed but generally positive view of the recreational facilities. Many patrons praise the pools for being fun, clean, offering good value ($4/day), and featuring various amenities such as diving boards, lap areas, and kids' play zones, along with comfortable water temperatures. Legion Park is specifically highlighted as a wonderful, safe, and well-maintained community resource. Experiences for families, including those with babies, were positive due to comfortable conditions and not being overly crowded. However, one review noted significant issues including a rude manager who reportedly kicked a child out for splashing, some unhelpful staff, frequent staff breaks, and a much harder swim test this year. Despite these specific criticisms, the overall sentiment points to an enjoyable and valuable community offering, with even fishing opportunities in the vicinity.

The lifeguards are sometimes nice but the manager is a bit rude I think just because you are the manager does not mean that you can just go ahead and kick a kid out for just splashing him with a water gun. It's just a bit of water and also some works are sometimes mean and like every 15 minutes they do a 10 minute break. They lie alot about alot of things other then all of that it's a pretty fun pool and also just this year they changed the swim test now it is much much harder but still fun to hang out at and only 4 bucks for the whole day is CARZY.
Legion Park has been a wonderful local resource for me, my family and a great many other people whom I know. It is kept in fine and safe condiition. It is certainly one of the gems of this community.
This is our first time visiting the Watseka public swimming pool. We came for a private event for a birthday party. The set up was very nice, the pool was clean and had a diving board area, a lap area and an area for kids to play with a freestanding water area. There was lots of seating in the pool. The park outside around the swimming pool is very nice.
