This review is for the pool area which is a separate building from the recreation center on the same property. The bathroom are functional and basic with one stall area for changing if needed. We handle that business at the vehicle or wait until we get home. The pool and pool area is very nice. No real shade except from 2-3 tables with an umbrella and about four seats under the overhang of the building. There is a decent size splash area for the smaller or non-swimming children that had steps leading into the main pool. About two lifeguards on duty but make sure to keep an eye on your child. I have only been twice, once last summer and this month. Neither time has been crowded and it appears to be well maintained. It is so awesome that the city of Decatur has this oasis available. We have enjoyed ourselves both times. Just sign in and swim!
