About

Country club offering golf on a course designed by Ron Garl and Lee Trevino, plus tennis, swimming, and racquetball.

Specific temperatures for the pool(s) at La Cita Golf & Country Club are not publicly disclosed or readily available. The club typically features a heated swimming pool for member enjoyment.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews present a mixed but predominantly negative view of the facilities. The golf course is frequently criticized for its poor condition, including greens, tee boxes, and cart paths, though some staff members were noted for being friendly and offering good service. One golf experience was severely hampered by staff monitoring and feeling 'babysat.' The pool area faces significant operational issues, including inconsistent opening times, a jacuzzi closed for an extended period, an often-unavailable pool bar, reduced staff hours, and a lack of membership verification leading to unauthorized use of facilities. Despite these widespread criticisms, one positive review highlighted the enjoyable slow pace of play, beautiful surroundings, and suggested the club has potential for 'rediscovery' for those living and playing there.

Joined and the pool did not open when website and staff said it would at dawn. It did not open at 7a.m. either, after GM who quit finally posted Pool Hours. Several times it was 9:30 before pool gates were unlocked. Jacuzzi closed for about six months; taped off with police tape. Pool Bar rarely open. Staff hours were greatly reduced. Not sure what members are paying for at the pool. No staff were there to check to see who is a member and who keeps sneaking into pool, gym and showers. It’s made many members paranoid that new members are not really members. What a mess!

We had a 7:56 tee time and arrived about 30 minutes early to warm up at the range. The staff was very friendly and even offered to let us start earlier at 7:40 since there was no one scheduled then, which we appreciated. However, after the second hole, we were stopped by course staff who said members had complained we were holding them up (despite the fact that we were right behind a group of four golfers) To avoid further issues, we switched to playing best ball to speed things up. Unfortunately, for the remaining 15 holes, we were followed and watched by staff the entire time. It felt like we were being babysat, which made the rest of our time there uncomfortable. On top of that, the greens, cart path and tee boxes were in poor condition. Overall, not a great experience, and I would not recommend this course

Second time playing this course. The price was less than other local courses but not by much. The pro shop was a little warm (AC Must have of been broken). The course was in pretty bad shape. The greens were horrible with lots of dirt patches. The tee boxes were not better. The fairways were ok but not great. If you want to play a decent course try somewhere else. I did like the layout as it was challenging. There was a tee on one hole with a big oak tree right in front of the tee area??? Dumbest thing I ever saw I’m surprised it’s there. Anyway it’s an ok course but done expect too much.

I have been to this course a handful of times. The staff I have seen and met are awesome and offer great service. The course on the other hand is in absolute dire need of repair and upkeep. I have given this course chances throughout the year in hopes I would see improvement. Unfortunately it has gradually became worse from this time last year to now. I will not play here again unless something is done about the condition of this course. I hope the best for this course and hope there are improvements made in the coming years.

I live and play here. Moved here from Atlanta and definitely enjoy the slower unrushed pace of play here. Love the beautiful homes and views. I am privileged to live in such beautiful surroundings. Great course to play with grandchildren. LaCita Golf & Country Club is a place worth rediscovering!!!
